The relationship between surgery for cubital tunnel and carpal tunnel syndrome was examined in this retrospective study. Between 1997 and 2018, data from consecutive patients who underwent carpal tunnel release (8352 patients), cubital tunnel release (1681 patients) or both procedures (692 patients) were analysed. The relative risk of undergoing cubital tunnel release in the population who had carpal tunnel release compared with those with no carpal tunnel release was 15.3 (male 20.3; female 12.5). The relative risk of undergoing carpal tunnel release in the population who had cubital tunnel release compared with those who did not undergo carpal tunnel release was 11.5 (male 16.5; female 9.1). Our study showed that men and women who undergo carpal tunnel release are over 20 times and 10 times more likely to have cubital tunnel release than those who did not undergo carpal tunnel release, respectively. These findings suggest that the two conditions may share a similar aetiology. IV.

Objectives: The current literature about the effect of advanced platelet rich fibrin(A-PRF) with vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique in treating gingival recession is scarce. Therefore, the aim of the current randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the effect of A-PRF with VISTA technique in the treatment of Cairo class 1 gingival recession (RT1).
Methods: Twenty-four patients who met the eligibility criteria were randomly allocated into two groups.

Introduction: A form of tenosynovial giant cell tumors (GCTs) that diffusely affects the soft tissue lining of joints and tendons is called pigmented villonodular synovitis or PVNS. About equal percentages of men and women are often affected, and it typically affects young individuals. The most typical sites of PVNS are the knee and ankle, making PVNS of the wrist a rare presentation.

Surgeons use anatomical landmarks like the scaphoid tubercle, pisiform, trapezial tubercle and hook of hamate, along with Kaplan cardinal line (KCL) to avoid injury to the recurrent motor branch (RMB) of the median nerve during carpal tunnel release. The presence of transverse muscle fibres (TMF) overlying the transverse carpal ligament (TCL) may suggest proximity of the RMB, but their anatomical relationship is unclear. In this study, we evaluated the accuracy of anatomical landmarks to the RMB, TMF origin and insertion, and examined the relationship between TMF presence and RMB running patterns.

Tarsal tunnel syndrome is an entrapment neuropathy of the tibial nerve and its branches in the tarsal tunnel. The literature on surgical release of the tarsal tunnel shows variable outcomes with no studies reporting validated patient reported outcomes. We aim to determine clinical response after tarsal tunnel release using the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS).

Small-section steel-shell concrete immersed tube tunnels are intended for minibuses and have a low fire heat release rate. Standard fire rise curves do not apply to such tunnels. In this study, a coupled method of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the finite element method (FEM) was used to simulate the structural temperature distribution in tunnels.
