(1) Background: is an important zoonosis and one of the major causes of abortion in sheep worldwide. (2) Methods: We performed a 2-year longitudinal serological anti- IgG screening on a cohort of a spatially confined population of a Portuguese autochthonous sheep breed in central Portugal. (3) Results: From the screening of the 2015 and 2016 sera, an increase of seroprevalence was observed (57.7% (95% CI: 49.9-65.3%) versus 69.1% (95% CI: 61.5-75.9), from 2015 and 2016, respectively) ( = 0.031). (4) Conclusions The present study is the first to provide prospective data on the anti- serological status of a sheep cohort in Portugal, showing an increase in the occurrence of . There is a need to provide a clearer understanding of epidemiology in Portugal, ideally by implementing monitoring programs on sentinel herds, not only due to the high impact of on animal health but also for it being a zoonosis.

Purpose: The effect of skeletal muscle mass of the trunk and extremities on sagittal imbalance of the spine before and after surgery for adult spinal deformity (ASD) has not been elucidated. The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between reduced skeletal muscle mass of the trunk and extremities, as well as spinopelvic parameters, preoperatively, postoperatively and at least 2 years after surgery for ASD.
Methods: This retrospective observational study included 140 consecutive patients who had undergone surgery for ASD and were followed-up for at least 2 years and whose skeletal muscle mass could be measured preoperatively using whole-body dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry.

Rational & Objective: Data are limited regarding the long-term efficacy of tolvaptan in adults aged 18-35 years with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) at increased risk of rapid progression. We assessed the effects of tolvaptan within a larger population of younger adults and over longer follow-up than individual clinical trials could provide.
Study Design: Pooled database study.

Importance: The neuropathological links underlying the association between changes in liver function and AD have not yet been clearly elucidated.
Objective: We aimed to examine the relationship between liver function markers and longitudinal changes in Alzheimer's disease (AD) core pathologies.
Design: Data from the Korean Brain Aging Study for the Early Diagnosis and Prediction of Alzheimer's Disease, a longitudinal cohort study initiated in 2014, were utilized.

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) present differently in women and men, influenced by host-microbiome interactions. The roles of sex hormones in CVD outcomes and gut microbiome in modifying these effects are poorly understood. The XCVD study examines gut microbiome mediation of sex hormone effects on CVD risk markers by observing transgender participants undergoing gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT), with findings expected to extrapolate to cisgender populations.

Introduction: The clinical utility of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in predicting subsequent subclinical cardiovascular damages in pediatric population remains poorly understood.
Methods: Data on 1,161 Chinese children aged 10-15 years were used to assess the longitudinal associations of MASLD with subsequent subclinical cardiovascular damages.
Results: Compared with relatively healthy children, children with MASLD had abnormal vascular and cardiac structures, along with reduced cardiac diastolic function at the 2-year follow-up.
