Article Abstract
Background: Increasing the capacity of teachers to deliver physical education (PE) lessons that are high in moderate to vigorous physical activity (PA) is one strategy to increase the amount of exercise students receive during school. However, traditional research approaches have not directly engaged the school community as equitable partners in the intervention design process. The purpose of this article is to describe the process, outputs, and lessons learned from a school-engaged research study, which incorporates the unique needs of schools-in terms of structure, accountability measures, and array of stakeholders into the research process and design.
Methods: This article describes lessons learned from Project SHAPE, a PA intervention that used principles of school-engaged research to guide program planning, recruitment, implementation, and data dissemination.
Results: The study team successfully partnered with 16 schools and enrolled 55 teachers and surveyed 4,773 students.
Conclusions: Efforts to improve PE programs can benefit from a school-engaged research approach that directly involves teachers, fosters mutually beneficial relationships, and integrates the schools' perspective in the research process.

Developing highly efficient non-iridium-based active sites for acidic water splitting is still a huge challenge. Herein, unique Ru-B-Cr moieties have been constructed in RuO nanofibers (NFs) to activate Ru sites for water electrolysis, which overcomes the bottleneck of RuO-based catalysts usually possessing low activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and poor stability for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The fabricated Cr, B-doped RuO NFs exhibit low overpotentials of 205 and 379 mV for acidic HER and OER at 1 A cm with outstanding stability lasting 1000 and 188 h, respectively.

Creatine monohydrate supplementation (CrM) is a safe and effective intervention for improving certain aspects of sport, exercise performance, and health across the lifespan. Despite its evidence-based pedigree, several questions and misconceptions about CrM remain. To initially address some of these concerns, our group published a narrative review in 2021 discussing the scientific evidence as to whether CrM leads to water retention and fat accumulation, is a steroid, causes hair loss, dehydration or muscle cramping, adversely affects renal and liver function, and if CrM is safe and/or effective for children, adolescents, biological females, and older adults.

Objective: This study investigates the factors influencing sedentary behavior in older adult Chinese stroke patients using decision trees and logistic regression models.
Methods: Convenience sampling method was employed to enroll 346 respondents aged ≥60 years with stroke from the Department of Neurology of three tertiary-level A hospitals in Heilongjiang province, based on the inclusion criteria. The Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire for Older Adults, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-S), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), and the Social Support Scale (SSRS) were used to assess sedentary behavior, physical activity level, sleep quality, depressive symptoms, and social support, respectively.
