Following the publication of the above article, the authors have realized that Fig. 5A was published with certain errors; essentially, the authors needed to perform further experiments to validate certain of their results, and the Blank and si‑NC control data in Fig. 5A were included from an incorrect set of experiments (the intended si‑NUSAP1 experimental data from the flow cytometric analyses, however, were presented correctly in the published Figure). The corrected version of Fig. 5, featuring the panels for the Blank and si‑NC control data in Fig. 5A from the same set of experiments, is shown opposite. The authors have confirmed that the errors associated with this figure did not have any significant impact on either the results or the conclusions reported in this study, and are grateful to the Editor of Oncology Reports for allowing them the opportunity to publish this Corrigendum. Furthermore, they apologize to the readership of the Journal for any inconvenience caused. [the original article was published in Oncology Reports 36: 1506-1516, 2016; DOI: 10.3892/or.2016.4955].

A novel glucomannan, named ATSW-1, was obtained from Allii Tuberosi Semen by ion and gel permeation chromatography purification. Its structure was characterized using high-performance chromatography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The in vitro immune activities of ATSW-1 were examined using the Cell Counting Kit-8, the neutral red phagocytosis assay, and the secretion of related cytokines.

Whole-cell bioreactors equipped with external physico-chemical sensors have gained attention for real-time toxicity monitoring. However, deploying these systems in practice is challenging due to potential interference from unknown wastewater constituents with liquid-contacted sensors. In this study, a novel approach using a bioreactor integrated with a non-dispersive infrared CO₂ sensor for both toxicity detection and real-time monitoring of microbial growth phases was successfully demonstrated.

Fabrication of heavy density mortar using aggregates reinforced with available solid inorganic chemical additives is of a great importance as a protective layer to mitigate radiations in nuclear facilities. The effect of lead oxide and borax decahydrate on the hydration kinetics was evaluated by determining setting time, leachability and compressive strength. To speed up the reaction, 0.

Purpose: Keratin contamination is a common problem in mass spectrometry proteomic analyses, particularly in bottom-up mass spectrometry. The purpose of this study was to determine the protein contaminants introduced during the proteomic analysis of tear fluid.
Methods: Human tear fluid samples were collected using Schirmer strips.

The accurate and sensitive quantification of hydroxyl radical (·OH) and glucose is necessary for disease diagnosis and health guidance, but still challenging owing to the low concentration of ·OH and poor water solubility of fluorescent probes. In addition, fluorescent probes may cause secondary pollution to the environment. Here an organic cage was reported as a sensitive fluorescent probe for ·OH and glucose in aqueous solution without serious secondary pollution.
