Background: To report a case of Optic Disc Pit (ODP) maculopathy exacerbated during pregnancy.

Case Presentation: A 30-year-old female developed unilateral blurry vision at 10-weeks gestation. Ophthalmic examination revealed left eye reduced visual acuity (VA) with the presence of subretinal fluid temporal to the disc extending to the fovea. On Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT) subretinal, and intraretinal fluid was confirmed. Laser photocoagulation was tried in an attempt to prevent surgical intervention without success; subsequently, pars plana vitrectomy, internal limiting membrane peel and gas tamponade was performed. Three-weeks later, a full thickness macular hole developed, and repeat surgery was performed. Nine-months after the second surgery the macular hole was closed with near complete resorption of edema.

Conclusions: No trigger factors for ODP maculopathy have been reported before. We report a case of worsening ODP maculopathy during pregnancy with good visual outcome after surgical intervention.

Background: Optic disc pit (ODP) is a rare congenital anomaly of optic nerve head and is associated with maculopathy. Scleral patch graft (SPG) as a therapeutic option is recently advocated.

Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of 54 patients with ODP maculopathy who were followed up for 12 months post-operatively.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of fovea-sparing internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling combined with ILM plug placement in patients with optic disc pit maculopathy (ODP-M).

Patients And Methods: This retrospective study included seven eyes from seven patients diagnosed with ODP-M, treated with fovea-sparing ILM peeling and ILM plug placement. All patients underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV), with either SF6 gas or silicone oil used as tamponade.

Purpose: To describe two patients affected by optic disk pit-maculopathy ODP-M surgically treated with pars-plana vitrectomy (PPV) and the apposition of a human Amniotic Membrane (hAM) patch.

Methods: Patients underwent a PPV with the apposition of a hAM patch to cover the ODP. In case 1, a 2 surgery was necessary to push the hAM patch inside the pit, whereas in case 2 the patch was pulled inside the pit following the pressure gradient when infusion was turned on.

Background: Congenital optic disc pit (ODP) is a relatively uncommon congenital anomaly of the optic disc, which seriously affects the patient's vision when combined with optic disc pit maculopathy(ODP-M). Currently, the treatment of ODP-M remains a clinical challenge and a focus of research.

Case Presentation: A boy had a pit in the inferotemporal segment of the optic disc with ODP-M.
