In 2016, the China Securities Regulatory Commission authorized the China Securities Investor Services Center (CSISC), a not-for-profit institution, to buy and hold 100 shares of listed firms in pilot regions. Exploiting CSISC shareholding as an exogenous shock, we employ a difference-in-differences analysis of a sample of listed firms from to 2013-2017 to investigate whether CSISC shareholding can promote corporate green innovation. Our results show that CSISC shareholding play a significant role in promoting corporate green innovation.

Intelligent manufacturing and green development are pivotal issues in China's pursuit of high-quality economic growth. As the core carrier of artificial intelligence-driven production transformations, industrial robots' role in synergizing enterprise pollution control and carbon reduction has rarely been discussed in the literature. Leveraging a unique micro dataset with robot adoption, energy use, emissions, and economic factors, this study investigates the impact and mechanisms of robot adoption on enterprise pollution abatement and carbon reduction.

Interfacial solar steam generation (ISSG) employed for seawater desalination and wastewater purification shows great promise to alleviate global freshwater scarcity. However, simultaneous optimization of water transfer direction in a cost-effective and reliable ISSG to balance thermal localization, salt accumulation, and resistance to oilfouling represents a rare feat. Herein, inspired by seabird beaks for unidirectional water transfer, eco-friendly and cost-effective plant extracts, sodium alginate, and tannic acid, are selected for crafting an innovative Sodium Alginate-Tannic Acid Hemispheric Evaporator (STHE).

Dendritic and axonal plasticity, which mediates neurobiological recovery after a stroke, critically depends on the mitochondrial function of neurons. To investigate, in vivo, neuronal mitochondrial function at the stroke recovery stage, we employed Mito-tag mice combined with cerebral cortical infection of AAV9 produced from plasmids carrying Cre-recombinase controlled by two neuronal promoters, synapsin-I (SYN1) and calmodulin-kinase IIa to induce expression of a hemagglutinin (HA)-tagged enhanced green fluorescence protein (EGFP) that localizes to mitochondrial outer membranes of SYN1 positive (SYN) and CaMKIIa positive (CaMKIIa) neurons. These mice were then subjected to permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and sacrificed 14 days post stroke.

The classical electrochemiluminescence (ECL) reagent Ru(bpy) was first doped into CdSe QDs to prepare novel dual-potential color-resolved luminophore Ru-CdSe QDs. Ru-CdSe QDs emitted a strong red ECL signal at a positive potential with coreactant TPrA and a strong green ECL signal at a negative potential with coreactant KSO. As a proof-of-concept application, this work introduced Ru-CdSe QDs into a dual-channel closed bipolar electrode (CBPE) system to construct an ECL biosensor for simultaneous detection of chloramphenicol (CAP) and kanamycin (KAN).
