There is global awareness that many species of elasmobranchs (sharks and rays) have life history characteristics that make them susceptible to overexploitation. The study of these animals is critical, as it contributes to increasing knowledge of these specimens and aids in their conservation. In particular, growth rate, age, fecundity, and size at maturity are key parameters for defining management and conservation strategies in elasmobranchs.

To study the translocation behavior of molecules through nanopores, the gold plasmonic nanopores (GPNs) structures with high Raman activity are fabricated. The process of molecule translocation (via potential, concentration and pH) is studied by Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS). The electrostatic effect is found critical for the translocation direction and speed of model molecule.

Yet there remains limited understanding of how stakeholders in early years (EY) education perceive, value, and implement a PL-informed approach. This study aims to explore knowledge and beliefs regarding PL and PA in relation to 3-5-year-olds, investigating key questions around perceived importance, current practices, and barriers to implementation.

Cerebellin 2 (CBLN2) has critical roles in regulating neuronal function, however, its functions in cancer are poorly studied. In our project, we found that CBLN2 expression is significantly downregulated in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), which is related to poor outcomes of CRC patients. In addition, we found that CBLN2 is closely associated with immune infiltrates in CRC samples, especially CD8 + T cells.
