Objective: To study and to justify statistically the influence of the incidence of ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding on the results of treatment.
Material And Methods: The results of treatment of 56.233 patients with ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding in the Central Federal district have been analyzed throughout a 5-year follow-up period. Statistical analysis was performed in Microsoft Excel 2007 and Review Manager 5.3.
Results: Overall in-hospital mortality (=0.871) and surgical activity (=0.725) depend on the number of patients with ulcerative bleeding. Active surgical approach was followed by overall in-hospital mortality 6.9%, moderate surgical approach - 5.3% (OR 1.3%, 95% CI 1.18-1.4, <0.05).
Conclusion: The correlations between the number of patients with ulcerative bleeding and surgical activity, overall in-hospital and postoperative mortality were identified in a large sample.

Gallium-Fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (Ga-FAPI) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) is increasingly used for evaluating various epithelial neoplasms. Despite addressing some pitfalls, many remain unacknowledged. This report details a 77-year-old man with suspected pancreatic malignancy who underwent a Ga-FAPI PET/CT scan post-gastroduodenal coil embolization for upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Previous observational studies have suggested that higher levels of education attainment and intelligence (IQ) are associated with better health outcomes in humans. However, the causal link between education attainment and IQ and their association with health outcomes remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the distinct impacts of intelligence and educational attainment on gastrointestinal symptoms.

Unlabelled: Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection plays an important role in the genesis of peptic ulcer disease. In the absence of susceptibility testing, concomitant quadruple therapy is one of the most widely used eradication methods. In the absence of a study on four-drug therapy and the difficulty of studying antibiotic susceptibility in our context, we initiated this work in order to evaluate the efficacy of an empirical treatment with concomitant four-drug therapy currently available.
