Objectives: We aimed to describe health-related quality of life (HRQoL), overall and across its dimensions, identify associated factors, and assess changes over time among people with HIV (PWH) from the Spanish multicentre CoRIS cohort.
Methods: We developed a mobile app to collect HRQoL data every 3 months using the WHOQOL-HIV-BREF questionnaire (31 items across six domains), among PWH followed in CoRIS in 2021-2023. Factors associated with good/very good global HRQoL and with domain-specific mean scores were identified using multivariable logistic and linear regression, respectively.

When a medical error occurs, the instinct to blame healthcare professionals may seems like a way to ensure they learn from their mistakes. However, in today's healthcare landscape, the blame culture, coupled with the fear of litigation, proves detrimental to improving patient care. This culture fosters a reluctance among healthcare professionals to openly disclose mistakes, depriving them of valuable learning opportunities.

This study of clinicians working in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) in the United Kingdom (UK) investigates the prevalence and character of surgical performance anxiety (SPA), a state of anxiety in response to negative evaluation by others concerning the performance of a surgical task. There is growing awareness of the impact of non-technical skills on patient outcomes with some research into SPA, but this is not OMFS-specific, and the understanding of performance anxiety in surgery falls behind comparable performance-driven professions. A prospective mixed-methods study was therefore conducted among UK OMFS clinicians using an electronic survey.

Objectives: Patients suffering from chronic pain use online platforms, such as Reddit, to engage in personal exchanges while maintaining anonymity. Analysis of comments and questions posted on these online forums provide unique insight into conversations that patients may be having outside of the physician's office regarding pain-relief procedures, specifically radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
Materials And Methods: Using the Python Reddit Application Programming Interface Wrapper, we identified and screened Reddit users' posts.
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the obstacles preventing care of diabetes distress from being integrated into diabetes management, as perceived by both patients and healthcare professionals. By conducting interviews with people with type 2 diabetes (PWD) and physicians, this study aimed to gain insight into the current state of care for diabetes distress in diabetes management and propose targeted interventions to improve patients' overall well-being and treatment outcomes.
Design: This qualitative study used semistructured interviews with patients and physicians.
