Rationale And Objectives: To investigate the effects of a reduced field-of-view (rFOV) acquisition in diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging of the pancreas.
Materials And Methods: We enrolled 153 patients who underwent routine clinical MRI work-up including respiratory-triggered diffusion-weighted single-shot echo-planar imaging (DWI) with full field-of-view (fFOV, 3 × 3 × 4 mm voxel size) and reduced field-of-view (rFOV, 2.5 × 2.5 × 3 mm voxel size) for suspected pancreatic pathology. Two experienced radiologists were asked to subjectively rate (Likert Scale 1-4) image quality (overall image quality, lesion conspicuity, anatomical detail, artifacts). In addition, quantitative image parameters were assessed (apparent diffusion coefficient, apparent signal to noise ratio, apparent contrast to noise ratio [CNR]).
Results: All subjective metrics of image quality were rated in favor of rFOV DWI images compared to fFOV DWI images with substantial-to-high inter-rater reliability. Calculated ADC values of normal pancreas, pancreatic pathologies and reference tissues revealed no differences between both sequences. Whereas the apparent signal to noise ratio was higher in fFOV images, apparent CNR was higher in rFOV images.
Conclusion: rFOV DWI provides higher image quality and apparent CNR values, favorable in the analysis of pancreatic pathologies.

Objective: Epilepsy is a common neurological disease affecting nearly 1% of the global population, and temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is the most common type. Patients experience recurrent seizures and chronic cognitive deficits that can impact their quality of life, ability to work, and independence. These cognitive deficits often extend beyond the temporal lobe and are not well understood.

Objective: Spinal fusion is a commonly performed surgical procedure used to relieve pain, deformity, and instability of various spinal pathologies. Although there have been attempts to standardize spinal fusion assessment radiologically, there is currently no unified definition that also considers clinical symptomology. This review attempts to create a more holistic and standardized definition of spinal fusion.

Objectives: The development of valuable artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with ultrasound diagnosis depends on algorithms developed using high-quality data. This study aimed to test the intra- and interobserver agreement of a proposed image-quality scoring system to quantify the quality of gynecological transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) images, which could be used in clinical practice and AI tool development.
Methods: A proposed scoring system to quantify TVS image quality was created following a review of the literature.

Purpose: We aimed to determine whether implementation of clinical decision support (CDS) tool integrated into the electronic health record (EHR) of a multi-site academic medical center increased the proportion of patients with American Urological Association (AUA) "high risk" microscopic hematuria (MH) who receive guideline concordant evaluations.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a two-arm cluster randomized quality improvement project in which 202 ambulatory sites from a large health system were randomized to either have their physicians receive at time of test results an automated CDS alert for patients with 'high-risk' MH with associated recommendations for imaging and cystoscopy (intervention) or usual care (control). Primary outcome was met if a patient underwent both imaging and cystoscopy within 180 days from MH result.

With the development of the Korean economy, demand for high-quality beef, specifically Hanwoo beef, is escalating, with marbling traits-measured by the widely used marbling score-being a key contributor to meat palatability. The differences between the high-quality and the lower-quality meat, according to the satisfaction of the customers, are not the result from only the degree of marbling but also from the delicacy of the marbling flecks distribution. Using the computer marbling analysis technique, an index for quantifying marbling fineness of 256 sirloin cuts at 12th- 13th thoracic vertebra named F7 index was developed in this study.
