The complete mitochondria genome sequence of Moore.

Mitochondrial DNA B Resour

Crops Research Institute, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Guangdong Key Laboratory for Crops Genetic Improvement, Guangzhou, China.

Published: November 2019

(Moore) is the most destructive defoliating pests in (Loureiro) Sprenger forests in Southern China. The complete sequences of mitochondria is reported: a circular molecule of 15,516 bp in size included 40.13% for A, 40.79% for T, 11.23% for C and 7.86% for G. There are 60 genes including 3 species with 12 protein-coding genes, 2 different species ribosomal RNA genes (S and L rRNA species), 46 transfer RNA genes (20 RNA species). (Moore) and other 19 species belonging to lepidopteran were phylogenetic and analyzed by MEGA 6.06 with neighbor-joining methods. The mtDNA of (Moore) were clustered in lepidopteran superfamilies.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype that accounts for 10-15 % of breast cancer. Current treatment of high-risk early-stage TNBC includes neoadjuvant chemo-immune therapy. However, the substantial variation in immune response prompts an urgent need for new immune-targeting agents.

Background: The SARS-CoV-2 virus's frequent mutations have made disease control with vaccines and antiviral drugs difficult; as a result, there is a need for more effective coronavirus drugs. Therefore, detecting the expression of various diagnostic biomarkers, including ncRNA in SARS-CoV2, implies new therapeutic strategies for the disease.

Aim: Our study aimed to measure NEAT-1, miR-374b-5p, and IL6 in the serum of COVID-19 patients, demonstrating the correlation between target genes to explore the possible relationship between them.

Improving the selectivity and effectiveness of drugs represents a crucial issue for future therapeutic developments in immuno-oncology. Traditional bulk transcriptomics faces limitations in this context for the early phase of target discovery as resulting gene expression levels represent the average measure from multiple cell populations. Alternatively, single cell RNA sequencing can dive into unique cell populations transcriptome, facilitating the identification of specific targets.

Different sheep breeds show distinct phenotypic plasticity in fat deposition in the tails. The genetic background underlying fat deposition in the tail of sheep is complex, multifactorial, and may involve allele-specific expression (ASE) mechanism to modulate allelic expression. ASE is a common phenomenon in mammals and refers to allelic imbalanced expression modified by cis-regulatory genetic variants that can be observed at heterozygous loci.

Identification of modulators of the ALT pathway through a native FISH-based optical screen.

A significant portion of human cancers utilize a recombination-based pathway, alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT), to extend telomeres. To gain further insights into this pathway, we developed a high-throughput imaging-based screen named TAILS (telomeric ALT in situ localization screen) to identify genes that either promote or inhibit ALT activity. Screening over 1,000 genes implicated in DNA transactions, TAILS reveals both well-established and putative ALT modulators.
