n is a noticeable black fungus, and also habitual to cluster on rotting wood. In this study, the high-quality whole-genome of strain SFY20170806 was sequenced on the Illumina sequencing platform. The complete mitochondrial genome of was assembled and annotated. The single circular structure of 129,366 bp length is the largest species found in the order Xylariales. The overall GC content is 29.7% and gene composition includes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 30 transfer RNA genes(tRNA), 2 ribosomal RNA genes(rRNA) and 6 open reading frames (ORF). Phylogenetic tree was constructed to validate the evolutionary relationship based on the complete mitogenomes from twelve taxa of four species of Xylariales, four species of Hypocreales, two species of Helotiales, one species of Microascales and . Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that has a special evolutionary status and close genetic relationship with .

Background: Echinacanthus longipes is an endemic species in the Sino-Vietnamese karst flora in the family Acanthaceae. It displays distinctive environmental adaptation characteristics in karst regions. Although it provides an important model for understanding the role of limestone karst in speciation and endemism, the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) of E.

Background: Advancing our knowledge of vector species genomes is a key step in our battle against the spread of diseases. Biting midges of the genus Culicoides are vectors of arboviruses that significantly affect livestock worldwide. Culicoides stellifer is a suspected vector with a wide range distribution in North America, for which cryptic diversity has been described.

Targeted therapies leveraging the innate immune system are emerging as promising cancer treatments. The mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein (MAVS) plays a crucial role in initiating innate immune responses, but its clinical use is limited by the risk of uncontrolled activation and systemic toxicity. To address this, we developed a novel therapeutic agent, the truncated interferon activation switch (TRIAS), combining MAVS truncates with a tumor antigen-targeting single-chain variable fragment (scFv).

This study aimed to examine the complete mitogenome sequence of Allen, 1923 using polymerase chain reaction. The mitochondrial genome of is a circular double-stranded structure with a complete length of 17,517 bp. The mitochondrial genome of included 13 protein-coding genes, one control region, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and one origin of L-strand replication.

Mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) display relatively rapid mutation rates, low sequence recombination, high copy numbers, and maternal inheritance patterns, rendering them valuable blueprints for mapping lineages, uncovering historical migration patterns, understanding intraspecific population dynamics, and investigating how environmental pressures shape traits underpinned by genetic variation. Here, we present the bioinformatic pipeline and code used to assemble and annotate the complete mitogenomes of five houndsharks (Chondrichthyes: Triakidae) and compare them to the mitogenomes of other closely related species. We demonstrate the value of a combined assembly approach for detecting deviations in mitogenome structure and describe how to select an assembly approach that best suits the sequencing data.
