is an important traditional herbal medicine unique to China. The complete chloroplast genome of was generated here using high-throughput sequencing. The plastome was 147,197 bp in size, which consisted of a pair of inverted repeats (IRs; 18,713 bp), a large single copy (LSC; 92,161 bp) and a small single copy (SSC; 17,610 bp). The GC content of the plastome was 37.6%, with 44.5%, 36.0%, and 31.1% in IRs, LSC, and SSC, respectively. A total of 128 genes were annotated, including 84 protein-coding genes, 35 tRNAs, eight rRNAs, and one pseudogene (Ψ1). The phylogenomic analysis indicated that formed a monophyletic clade with .

Unlabelled: is one of the most virulent bacterial pathogens known and causes the disease tularemia, which can be fatal if untreated. This zoonotic and intracellular pathogen is exposed to diverse environmental and host stress factors that require an appropriate response to survive. However, the stress tolerance mechanisms used by to persist are not fully understood.

DNA can be readily amplified through replication, enabling the detection of a single-target copy. A comparable performance for proteins in immunoassays has yet to be fully assessed. Surface-plasmon-resonance (SPR) serves as a probe capable of performing assays at concentrations typically around 10⁻⁹ molar.

Objective: Accelerated ageing indexed by telomere attrition is suggested in schizophrenia spectrum- (SCZ) and bipolar disorders (BD). While inflammation may promote telomere shortening, few studies have investigated the association between telomere length (TL) and markers of immune activation and inflammation in severe mental disorders.

Methods: Leucocyte TL defined as telomere template/amount of single-copy gene template (T/S ratio), was determined in participants with SCZ ( = 301) or BD ( = 211) and a healthy control group (HC, = 378).

Spatial deconvolution from bulk DNA methylation profiles determines intratumoral epigenetic heterogeneity.

Cell Biosci

January 2025

Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Diseases, Guangdong Institute of Gastroenterology, The Sixth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, 26 Yuancun Erheng Road, Guangzhou, 510655, Guangdong, China.

Background: Intratumoral heterogeneity emerges from accumulating genetic and epigenetic changes during tumorigenesis, which may contribute to therapeutic failure and drug resistance. However, the lack of a quick and convenient approach to determine the intratumoral epigenetic heterogeneity (eITH) limit the application of eITH in clinical settings. Here, we aimed to develop a tool that can evaluate the eITH using the DNA methylation profiles from bulk tumors.
