Complete mitochondrial genome of green shrimp, (Crustacea: Decapoda: Pandalidae) in Korean water.

Mitochondrial DNA B Resour

Interdisciplinary program of Biomedical Engineering, Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea.

Published: July 2019

The complete mitochondrial genome of green shrimp, (Costa, 1871) was generated by the combination of next-generation sequencing platform and long PCR technique. The mitochondrial genome of was 16,500 bp, in which 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and a putative control region was encoded. Based on the 13 protein-coding genes region, the phylogenetic tree was clearly demonstrated that is closest to and with 77% identity. This mitogenome information will be helpful for the further studies of deep-sea fisheries resources management strategies in Korea including species.

Triplophysa bombifrons, a species of bony fish localized in China, has largely been understudied genetically, with limited data available beyond its mitochondrial genome. This study introduces a chromosome-level genome assembly for T. bombifrons, achieved through the integration of PacBio long-read sequencing and Hi-C chromatin interaction mapping.

Fleas, which are ubiquitous small wingless parasitic insects, have a significant impact on human and animal health globally. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genomes of Paradoxopsyllus custodis and Stenischia montanis yunlongensis. The lengths of these genomes were 15,375 bp and 15,651 bp respectively, encompassing a total of 37 genes.

Mimosa tenuiflora, popularly known as "Jurema-Preta", is a perennial tree or shrub native to the tropical regions of the Americas, particularly among Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Brazilian communities. Known for producing N,N-Dimethyltryptamine, a psychedelic compound with profound psychological effects, Jurema-Preta has been studied for its therapeutic potential in mental health. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of the plastid (ptDNA) and mitochondrion (mtDNA) genomes of M.
