A 15-year-old female sought multidisciplinary treatment for hypodontia, three-dimensional problems, deep overbite, multiple occlusal interferences, and collapse of the occlusion. Through virtual-digital design with objective decomposition, this patient underwent five steps of orthodontic treatment under the guidelines of the principles: removal of occlusal restriction is a prerequisite; transverse problems are solved first; then sagittal problems; and vertical correction runs through the treatment. After orthodontic and prosthetic treatment, aesthetic appearance and functional occlusion were achieved.

Objectives: Sleep deprivation (SD) is a risk factor for the development of chronic pain in adolescents, significantly affecting pain management and prognosis; however, the mechanisms by which SD influences postoperative pain outcomes remain unclear. This study aims to investigate the molecular mechanism through which the spinal 5-hydroxytryptamine 1 receptor (5-HT1R) regulates the excitation/inhibition (E/I) balance in the dorsal horn to modulate postoperative chronic pain induced by SD in adolescent mice.

Objectives: The objectives of this report were to: (1) highlight the initial design of a clinical decision support (CDS) tool that was intended to help ensure the correct matching of research studies to research chemotherapy medications, (2) discuss the issues identified with the CDS tool, and (3) review the redesign of the tool that was done to overcome the issues identified.

Introduction: Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is suggested as a precursor of patellofemoral osteoarthritis (PFOA) later in life. This hypothesis is based on shared risk factors for both diseases, such as deviating alignment parameters.
