Objective: An accuracy test method is proposed to reduce the amount of reagents used in the test and reduce the cost of spot checks and self-tests.
Methods: According to the requirements of dose accuracy test in standard atmospheric conditions in ISO 11608-1:2014, dose accuracy test is carried out for the same batch of reusable pen injector samples by using the test method proposed in this paper and the test method in relevant foreign research, and the data measured by the two methods are processed.
Results: After experimental testing and analysis, the data measured by the two methods did not exceed the dose accuracy limit specified in the ISO standard. There was no significant difference between the two methods when the dose of 60 U and 30 U were tested, but there was significant difference when the dose of 1 U was tested.
Conclusions: Both methods can be used to evaluate dose accuracy, however, the method proposed in this paper can reduce the usage of drugs by 2/3, so it can reduce cost of supervised test.

Megavoltage computed tomography (MVCT) plays a crucial role in patient positioning and dose reconstruction during tomotherapy. However, due to the limited scan field of view (sFOV), the entire cross-section of certain patients may not be fully covered, resulting in projection data truncation. Truncation artifacts in MVCT can compromise registration accuracy with the planned kilovoltage computed tomography (KVCT) and hinder subsequent MVCT-based adaptive planning.

Background: Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is an innovative binary form of radiation therapy with high selectivity towards cancer tissue based on the neutron capture reaction B(n,α)Li, consisting in the exposition of patients to neutron beams after administration of a boron compound with preferential accumulation in cancer cells. The high linear energy transfer products of the ensuing reaction deposit their energy at the cell level, sparing normal tissue. Although progress in accelerator-based BNCT has led to renewed interest in this cancer treatment modality, in vivo dose monitoring during treatment still remains not feasible and several approaches are under investigation.

: This study compares system-reported organ doses (ODs) to manually calculated mean glandular doses (MGDs) in mammography across multiple centers and manufacturers in Dubai. : A retrospective study of 2754 anonymized mammograms from six clinics in Dubai were randomly retrieved from a central dose survey database. Organ doses were documented along with other dosimetry information like kVp, mAs, filter, target, compression force, and breast thickness.

The aim of this study was to compare the technique of navigation-assisted biopsy based on fused PET and MRI datasets to CT-guided biopsies in terms of the duration of the procedure, radiation dose, complication rate, and accuracy of the biopsy, particularly in anatomically complex regions. Between 2019 and 2022, retrospectively collected data included all navigated biopsies and CT-guided biopsies of suspected primary bone tumors or solitary metastases. Navigation was based on preoperative CT, PET-CT/-MRI, and MRI datasets, and tumor biopsies were performed using intraoperative 3D imaging combined with a navigation system.

: Accurate volumetric assessment of lung nodules is an essential element of low-dose lung cancer screening programs. Current guidance recommends applying specific thresholds to measured nodule volume to make the following clinical decisions. In reality, however, CT scans often have heterogeneous slice thickness which is known to adversely impact the accuracy of nodule volume assessment.
