We examined what pedestrians look at when walking through a parking garage. Thirty-six participants walked a short route in a parking garage while their eye movements and head rotations were recorded with a Tobii Pro Glasses 2 eye-tracker. The participants' fixations were then classified into 14 areas of interest. The results showed that pedestrians often looked at the back (20.0%), side (7.5%), and front (4.2%) of parked cars, and at approaching cars (8.8%). Much attention was also paid to the ground (20.1%). The wheels of cars (6.8%) and the driver in approaching cars (3.2%) received attention as well. In conclusion, this study showed that eye movements are largely functional in the sense that they appear to assist in safe navigation through the parking garage. Pedestrians look at a variety of sides and features of the car, suggesting that displays on future automated cars should be omnidirectionally visible. This study measured where pedestrians look when walking through a parking garage. It was found that the back, side, and wheels of cars attract considerable attention. This knowledge may be important for the development of automated cars that feature so-called external human-machine interfaces (eHMIs).

This work investigates the detection of defunct or absent diesel particle filters by drive-through remote sensing measurement at the Czech University of Life Sciences main vehicular entrance gate. An exhaust sample was collected by a line attached to the road surface in the center of the travel lane. A non-volatile particle number (nvPN) counter and electric mobility particle size classifier were used to measure particle number concentrations, and an FTIR analyzer was used to measure CO, CO, and NO concentrations.

In time-weighted averaging (TWA) with needle trap extraction (NTE), the control of the sampling rate is critical for accurate analysis. By adjusting the diffusion length and cross-sectional area, the sampling rate can be modified in accordance with Fick's first law of diffusion. In this study, deactivated fused silica tubing (DFST) of varying lengths was used to fine-tune these parameters, allowing for precise control of the sampling rate in TWA-NTE devices.

This study investigated the presence of rubber additives and relevant oxidation products (RAROPs) in groundwater in central China's aboveground river region. Seven RAROPs were detected, and their levels in shallow groundwater showed a mild decreasing trend from the area near the Yellow River (Avg: 8.49 ng L) to the area on the far bank of the Yellow River (Avg: 5.

In the current study, which focuses on the operational safety problem in intelligent three-dimensional garages, an obstacle avoidance measurement and control scheme for the AGV parking robot is proposed. Under the premise of high-precision distance detection using Kalman filtering, a mathematical model of a brushless DC (BLDC) motor with full-speed range hybrid control is established. MATLAB/Simulink (R2022a) is used to build the control model, which has dual closed-loop vector-controlled motors in the low- to medium-speed range, with photoelectric encoders for speed feedback.
