The development of chemically recyclable polymers for sustainable 3D printing is crucial to reducing plastic waste and advancing towards a circular polymer economy. Here, we introduce a new class of polythioenones (PCTE) synthesized via Michael addition-elimination ring-opening polymerization (MAEROP) of cyclic thioenone (CTE) monomers. The designed monomers are straightforward to synthesize, scalable and highly modular, and the resulting polymers display mechanical performance superior to commodity polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene.

The montmorillonite@iron oxide@silver (MMT@FeO@Ag) nanocomposite, which is recyclable and exhibits high catalytic activity, was evaluated for the degradation of methyl yellow (MY), a carcinogenic azo dye. For this purpose, MMT@FeO was first synthesized via the coprecipitation method and then Ag was doped to MMT@FeO via the chemical reduction method. MMT, MMT@FeO, and MMT@FeO@Ag were characterized by various techniques including scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer, and thermal gravimetric analysis.

Urban mineral resources, with their significant recycling potential, have increasingly accumulated worldwide and become an important source for extracting valuable metals, particularly critical rare dispersed metals (CRDMs) such as gallium, germanium, and indium. As the electronics industry continues to grow rapidly, the demand for CRDMs is rising. However, CRDMs in primary mineral resources are often found in small, dispersed concentrations, making extraction challenging.

A Pt(II) aqua complex supported by mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN)-immobilized sulfonated CNN pincer ligand featuring a rigid SiO tether was prepared. This hybrid material was tested as a catalyst in H/D exchange reactions of C(sp)-H bonds of selected aromatic substrates and DO-2,2,2-trifluoroethanol- (TFE-) mixtures or CDCOD acting as a source of exchangeable deuterium. The catalyst immobilization served as a means to not only enable the catalyst's recyclability but also minimize the coordination of sulfonate groups and the metal centers originating from different catalyst's moieties that would preserve reactive Pt(OH) fragments needed for catalytic C-H bond activation.

As an oxidant, the ferryl-oxo complex (Fe═O) offers excellent reactivity and selectivity for degrading recalcitrant organic contaminants. However, enhancing Fe═O generation on heterogeneous surfaces remains challenging because the underlying formation mechanism is poorly understood. This study introduces edge defects onto a single-atom Fe catalyst (FeNC-edge) to promote Fe═O generation via peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation.
