Raisins are so popular in the human diet as a nutritional and sweet snack. The quality of this foodstuff depends on drying conditions. To minimize ochratoxin A (OTA) content and yeast and mold content (YMC) in raisins with favorable physicochemical and sensory properties, the response surface methodology (RSM) and the face-centered central composite design (FCCD) were utilized.

The meniscus plays a vital role in knee biomechanics, particularly in load distribution and stability. Meniscus root tears (MRTs) compromise these functions, resulting in biomechanical alterations and knee osteoarthritis. The effectiveness of different MRT treatments is not yet well defined.

Left ventricular hypertrophy, characterized by hypertrophy of individual cardiomyocytes, is an adaptive response to an increased cardiac workload that eventually leads to heart failure. Previous studies using neonatal rat ventricular myocytes (NRVMs) and animal models have revealed several genes and signaling pathways associated with hypertrophy and mechanical load. However, these models are not directly applicable to humans.

State Key Laboratory of Pathogenesis Prevention and Treatment of High Incidence Diseases in Central Asia, School of Medical Engineering and Technology Xinjiang Medical University, Urumqi, 830011, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: A synergistic treatment strategy of phototherapy and chemotherapy has been shown to improve efficacy and offer unique advantages over monotherapy. The purpose of this study is to explore a new nanocarrier system with liposome as the inner membrane and erythrocyte membrane as the outer membrane, which aims to realize the leak-free load of phototherapy drug indocyanine green (ICG) and chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (DOX), prolong the circulation time in vivo and improve the therapeutic effect.

Patients And Methods: In this study, bilayer membrane-loaded ICG and DOX nanoparticles (RBC@ICG-DOX NPs) were prepared and characterized.

Introduction: Various surgical repair techniques, including autograft and allograft reconstructions, have been reported for the management of chronic pectoralis major ruptures, but outcome reporting remains highly heterogeneous. This narrative review aimed to provide a deeper understanding of these techniques, emphasizing the need for larger-scale prospective trials to support evidence-based recommendations for surgeons.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a search of PubMed/Medline, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Google Scholar for English-language articles published between 1822 and 2023, using the following keywords: "chronic pectoralis major ruptures," "chronic pectoralis major tears," and "patient outcomes.
