With a half-life of 10.7 years, the noble gas radioisotope Kr is perfectly suited as a tracer to date ice and water that formed during the past half century. Furthermore, due to its inhomogeneous input into the atmosphere, it is a useful tool to investigate atmospheric circulation and back-trajectory analysis. The data presented here represent a comprehensive time series of atmospheric Kr activity concentrations in ground level air that can be used to model northern and southern hemispheric input functions, which is essential to apply Kr as a dating tracer. The collection comprises 11 datasets from 4 monitoring stations in the northern and 7 monitoring stations in the southern hemisphere, respectively. In total, it contains about 8000 measurements performed over the past 60 years, making it the largest published Kr record.

Importance: Adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients with advanced cancer often die in hospital settings. Data characterizing the degree to which this pattern of care is concordant with patient goals are sparse.
Objective: To evaluate the extent of concordance between the preferred and actual location of death among AYA patients with cancer.

In China, the red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii), a notorious invasive species, has become an important economic freshwater species. In order to compare the genetic diversity and population structure of crayfish from northern and southern China, we collected 60 crayfish individuals from 4 crayfish populations in northern China and 2 populations in southern China for sequencing using the 2b-RAD technique. Additionally, the whole genome sequence information obtained by 2b-RAD of 90 individuals from 2 populations in northern China and 7 populations in southern China were downloaded from NCBI.

The diphyllobothriid tapeworm Dibothriocephalus dendriticus, one of the causative agents of the fish-borne zoonosis dibothriocephalosis, is mainly distributed in the Arctic/subarctic and temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere (Europe, North America, and Asia), but also in the southern cone region of South America (Patagonia). The genetic structure and gene flow among 589 individuals of D. dendriticus, representing 20 populations, were studied using the mitochondrial cox1 gene as the first choice marker and 10 polymorphic nuclear microsatellite loci as a dominant molecular tool.

Heat extremes become increasingly frequent and severe, posing adverse risks to public health and environment. Previous research on extreme heat mostly used meteorological observations or reanalysis data, which cannot well capture detailed spatial patterns. This study developed a seamless air temperature (T) dataset from remote sensing data to characterize the spatio-temporal variations of heat extremes in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) from 2001 to 2023.
