Background: Intervention under ultrasonography (US) guidance has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. This study aimed to assess the treatment response to US-guided musculoskeletal interventions in daily practice.
Methods: This retrospective study sought to identify the treatment response to US-guided interventions in different tissues conducted between January 2017 and December 2018. The treatment response to various US-guided interventions in different tissues was recorded. The response was further classified into positive response and negative response according to the improvement of symptoms or satisfaction of the treatment.
Results: Among the 605 interventions included for data analysis, a positive response rate of 81% was observed in this study for all US-guided interventions, ranging from 70% to 88% in different categories.
Conclusion: This real-world analysis demonstrated the effectiveness of various US-guided interventions without serious complications. We recommend US as a useful guidance for a variety of injections.

Background: For surgical procedures of the upper limbs, ultrasound-guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block (SCBPB) represents a safe substitute for general anesthesia. The present study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of incorporating 1μg/kg dexmedetomidine (DEX) into 20 ml bupivacaine, as opposed to using 20 ml and 30 ml bupivacaine without additives, in SCBPB.
Methods: This randomized, controlled, double-blind study included 75 patients assigned to elective upper-limb surgery under the mid-humerus level.

The objective of this mini review is to discuss the role of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) in identification and treatment of pain generators in cervical spine in patients presenting with cervicogenic headache (CEH). CEH is a secondary headache arising from cervical nociceptive structures emerging from facet joints, intervertebral discs, nerves, muscles, fascia and ligaments. It presents a complex challenge in clinical management.

Objective: To evaluate whether there was a difference in the degree of reported participation in ultrasound-guided procedures between male and female trainees at our institution.

Background: US guided sampling is a validated diagnostic approach for non-thyroid deep head and neck masses.
Aim: To describe the setting of a clinician-driven Lump Clinic and analyze a monoinstitutional 7-year database of 849 patients undergoing US-guided sampling.
Methods: FNA with Rapid OnSite Evalutation (ROSE) was the first diagnostic step.
