Background: Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people seek gender-affirming care at any age to manage gender identities or expressions that differ from their birth gender. Gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT) and gender-affirming surgery may alter reproductive function and/or anatomy, limiting future reproductive options to varying degrees, if individuals desire to either give birth or become a biological parent.

Objective And Rationale: TGD people increasingly pursue help for their reproductive questions, including fertility, fertility preservation, active desire for children, and future options.

Understanding insect behaviour and its underlying drivers is vital for interpreting changes in local biodiversity and predicting future trends. Conventional insect traps are typically limited to assess the composition of local insect communities over longer time periods and provide only limited insights into the effects of abiotic factors, such as light on species activity. Achieving finer temporal resolution is labour-intensive or only possible under laboratory conditions.

Background/objectives: ZNF711(Zinc finger protein 711) encodes a zinc finger protein of currently undefined function, located on the X chromosome. Current knowledge includes a limited number of case reports where this gene has been exclusively associated with X-linked intellectual disability (XLID). As far as we are aware, we report the first cases of epilepsy associated with this particular variant.

is a ubiquitous pathogenic fungus that causes blue mold decay of apple fruit postharvest, and another member of the genus, , is a well-studied saprophyte valued for antibiotic and small molecule production. While these two fungi have been investigated individually, a recent discovery revealed that can block mediated decay of apple fruit. To shed light on this observation, we conducted a comparative genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic study of two (404 and 413) and two (Pe21 and R19) isolates.

Encapsulation in alginate hydrogel microspheres is an effective method for protecting and improving the survival of lactic acid bacteria in different environments. This research aims to expand the knowledge about the structure/property relationship of calcium alginate microspheres loaded with a mixture of autochthonous probiotic bacteria ( and ). A novel hydrogel formulation (FORMLAB) was prepared by ionic gelation and the molecular interactions between the FORMLAB constituents, surface morphology, structure, swelling degree, and release profile were characterized.
