In this paper, we present recent results in harmonic analysis in the real line R and in the half-line R + , which show a closed relation between Hermite and Laguerre functions, respectively, their symmetry groups and Fourier analysis. This can be done in terms of a unified framework based on the use of rigged Hilbert spaces. We find a relation between the universal enveloping algebra of the symmetry groups with the fractional Fourier transform. The results obtained are relevant in quantum mechanics as well as in signal processing as Fourier analysis has a close relation with signal filters. In addition, we introduce some new results concerning a discretized Fourier transform on the circle. We introduce new functions on the circle constructed with the use of Hermite functions with interesting properties under Fourier transformations.

Molybdate, an oxidized form of molybdenum, facilitates molybdenum to be taken into cell, and thus to be included as a cofactor in the structure of enzymes necessary to ensure homeostasis. Although this compound provides the catalysis and electron transport of many biochemical reactions, it causes serious health problems in animals at high concentrations. For this reason, its recovery of water resources is one of the main subjects of scientific studies called bioremediaiton.

In this study, a Cu@Ag core-shell was synthesized using a co-precipitation method. To create a new electrochemical sensor, a Cu@Ag core-shell with conductive polymers such as polyalizarin yellow R (PA) and Nafion (Nf) was immobilized on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (Cu@Ag-Nf/PA/GCE). X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) techniques were employed to characterize the Cu@Ag-Nf/PA/GCE.

Removal of Rhodamine B (RhB) from aqueous solutions was performed by the batch adsorption process. Colemanite was characterized as an adsorbent by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The effects of contact time, the effect of the initial concentration of the dye, the amount of adsorbent and temperature parameters on the removal of RhB were investigated.

This study introduces a sustainable biological approach for synthesizing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Conocarpus seeds, aimed at improving the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) in wastewater treatment. The photocatalytic efficiency of AgNPs, synthesized under varying concentrations of silver nitrate (AgNO) and pH levels, was evaluated, together with the effectiveness of a photocatalytic reactor. The synthesized samples were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM).

Gas-phase conformational landscape and ring-puckered structure of 1-aminoindane.

Chemphyschem

January 2025

Universidad de Valladolid Facultad de Ciencias, Química Física y Química Inorgánica, SPAIN.

Indane-based molecules are effective scaffolds for different pharmaceutical products, so it is relevant to analyze the relation between structure and functionality in indane derivatives. Here, we have characterized the conformational landscape and molecular structure of 1-aminoindane in the gas phase using chirped-excitation Fourier-transform microwave spectroscopy and computational methods. The rotational spectrum confirmed the presence of two conformers, which were identified based on their rotational constants and 14N nuclear quadrupole coupling tensor elements.
