The stability of the suspension system of the two crystal forms of pyraclostrobin is evaluated using multiple light technology, and the adsorption performance of polycarboxylate dispersant on the surface of two different crystalline pyraclostrobin particles is compared in combination with XRD, FTIR, XPS, and SEM from the microscopic view. The adsorption kinetics and thermodynamics studies of 2700 on the surfaces of different crystalline forms of pyraclostrobin particles show that the adsorption process of 2700 on the surfaces of pyraclostrobin crystal forms II and IV conform to pseudo-second-order kinetic adsorption model. The a values for crystal forms II and IV are 12.93 and 14.39 kJ∙mol, respectively, which indicates that both adsorption processes are physical adsorption. The adsorption models of 2700 on the surfaces of pyraclostrobin crystal forms II and IV are in accordance with Langmuir adsorption isotherms. The values of crystal forms II and IV are negative and the values are positive at different temperatures. Therefore, the adsorption processes are spontaneous and accompanied by entropy increase. The results of this study provide an important theoretical basis for the selection of polycarboxylate dispersants in the suspension of pyraclostrobin. This study also provides a reference for the research of polycrystalline pesticide suspension concentrate.

The symmetry breaking that is formed when oxide layers are combined epitaxially to form heterostructures has led to the emergence of new functionalities beyond those observed in the individual parent materials. SrTiO-based heterostructures have played a central role in expanding the range of functional properties arising at the heterointerface and elucidating their mechanistic origin. The heterostructure formed by the epitaxial combination of spinel γ-AlO and perovskite SrTiO constitutes a striking example with features distinct from perovskite/perovskite counterparts such as the archetypical LaAlO/SrTiO heterostructure.

During the preparation of single-domain (S-D) REBaCuO (RE-123) superconducting bulks, the seed crystals can serve as templates for crystal growth, guiding the newly formed crystals to grow in a specific direction, thereby ensuring the consistency of the crystal orientation within the sample. However, the infiltration temperature is typically restricted to approximately 1050 °C when employing NdBaCuO (Nd-123) crystal seeds in the traditional top-seeded infiltration growth (TSIG) technique for producing single-domain Y-123 bulk superconductors. In the present study, to overcome the temperature limitations of the heat treatment process, the optimized YO +011 IG (011 refers to BaCuO powder) method was employed to fabricate a group of single-domain Y-123 bulks with a high-temperature infiltration (1000-1300 °C).

Composite coatings reinforced with varying mass fractions of SiC particles were successfully fabricated on 316 stainless steel substrates via laser cladding. The phase compositions, elemental distribution, microstructural characteristics, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the composite coatings were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Vickers hardness testing, friction-wear testing and electrochemical methods. The coatings have no obvious pores, cracks or other defects.

A collagen-inspired helical protein-mimic has been synthesized via topochemical polymerization of a designed tripeptide monomer. In the monomer crystal, molecules arrange in a head-to-tail manner, forming supramolecular helices. The azide and alkyne of adjacent molecules in the supramolecular helix are proximally preorganized in a ready-to-react arrangement.

Axions, hypothetical elementary particles that remain undetectable in nature, can arise as quasiparticles in three-dimensional crystals known as axion insulators. Previous implementations of axion insulators have largely been limited to two-dimensional systems, leaving their topological properties in three dimensions unexplored in experiment. Here, we realize an axion insulator in a three-dimensional photonic crystal and probe its topological properties.
