In this paper, a new family of binary LRCs (BLRCs) with locality 2 and uneven availabilities for hot data is proposed, which has a high information symbol availability and low parity symbol availabilities for the local repair of distributed storage systems. The local repair of each information symbol for the proposed codes can be done not by accessing other information symbols but only by accessing parity symbols. The proposed BLRCs with k = 4 achieve the optimality on the information length for their given code length, minimum Hamming distance, locality, and availability in terms of the well-known theoretical upper bound.

Overtourism results in pressure exerted on the natural environment, negative impacts on local communities and lower tourist satisfaction in many protected areas (PAs). This phenomenon has become an increasingly important issue in the management of national parks (NPs) in Poland, especially the mountain ones. Countering and alleviating the effects of overtourism requires developing appropriate management strategies based on the detailed analysis of tourism monitoring data.

This study documents information on the composition, diversity, richness, and temporal occurrence of snakes at Sekayu's lowland forest (SLF), Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia for the first time. The snakes recorded within the SLF were sampled opportunistically from 2013 to 2019, employing the Visual Encounter Survey method (VES) and L-shape pitfall traps with drift fences. Forty-six snake species from 37 genera belonging to the nine families were recorded, of which 11 were new records to Terengganu.

Climate change is posing unprecedented pressure onto marine ecosystems worldwide. This makes it imperative to monitor the effects that are being experienced in these environments. Nudibranchs are benthic marine organisms that possess characteristics that have the potential to act as indicators of change within ecosystems such as coral reefs.

Background: Early intervention in psychosis (EIP) is a well-established approach aimed at detecting and treating early signs and symptoms of psychosis to prevent its long-term consequences. The present study aimed at detailing the current status of EIP services in Italy, covering all the Departments of Mental Health (DMHs) operating in 2018.

Methods: All directors of public DMHs operating in Italy in 2018 (n = 127) were invited to fill in a Census form about EIP structure and activities.

In this article, we propose a new cross locality relation network (CLRNet) to generate high-quality crowd density maps for crowd counting in videos. Specifically, a cross locality relation module (CLRM) is proposed to enhance feature representations by modeling local dependencies of pixels between adjacent frames with an adapted local self-attention mechanism. First, different from the existing methods which measure similarity between pixels by dot product, a new adaptive cosine similarity is advanced to measure the relationship between two positions.
