In the paper we propose, using the logical entropy function, a new kind of entropy in product MV-algebras, namely the logical entropy and its conditional version. Fundamental characteristics of these quantities have been shown and subsequently, the results regarding the logical entropy have been used to define the logical mutual information of experiments in the studied case. In addition, we define the logical cross entropy and logical divergence for the examined situation and prove basic properties of the suggested quantities. To illustrate the results, we provide several numerical examples.

As an effective approach to mitigating urban environmental issues, New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) have become a focal point of research regarding their current development status and future prospects in China. Addressing the significant disparities in the development of the NEVs industry across different cities, this study focuses on ten typical Chinese cities and develops a novel multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) framework to evaluate the prospects of NEVs promotion in these cities. The study first establishes a comprehensive indicator system that covers key dimensions such as economy, policy support, infrastructure, technological innovation, and environment, encompassing five different types of evaluation information.

Classic formulae for entropy and cross-entropy contain operations x0 and log2x that are not defined on all inputs. This can lead to calculations with problematic subexpressions such as 0log20 and uncertainties in large scale calculations; partiality also introduces complications in logical analysis. Instead of adding conventions or splitting formulae into cases, we create a new algebra of real numbers with two symbols ±∞ for signed infinite values and a symbol named ⟂ for the undefined.

Vopson and Lepadatu recently proposed the Second Law of Infodynamics. The law states that while the total entropy increases, information entropy declines over time. They state that the law has applications over a wide range of disciplines, but they leave many key questions unanswered.

This study focused on simulating the adsorption-based separation of Methylene Blue (MB) dye utilising Oryza sativa straw biomass (OSSB). Three distinct modelling approaches were employed: artificial neural networks (ANN), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS), and response surface methodology (RSM). To evaluate the adsorbent's potential, assessments were conducted using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Improving energy efficiency is crucial for smart factories that want to meet sustainability goals and operational excellence. This study introduces a novel decision-making framework to optimize energy efficiency in smart manufacturing environments, integrating Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) with Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) techniques. The proposed approach addresses key challenges, including reducing carbon footprints, managing operating costs, and adhering to stringent environmental standards.
