: Body mass index (BMI) is commonly used to assess the proportionality of body mass; however, there are currently no standards for assessing the weight status of the child population for the needs of epidemiological studies. This study aims to establish bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) standards for assessing the body weight of children (body fat, visceral fat) using BMI percentile growth charts. : The study was implemented in a group of 1674 children (816 boys and 858 girls), ages 6 to 11. To classify the subjects at a percentile level, the percentile growth charts from the 6th national anthropological study in the Czech Republic were used. Body composition parameters were ascertained by BIA. : Body fat (%) and visceral fat standard values were determined for all age categories. The standards were in three-stages, enabling the determination of underweight, normal weight and overweight children aged 6-11 years. For boys with proportionate body mass, standard body fat values ranging from 14.3-16.0% to 15.5-18.0% were determined, while for girls' values ranging from 16.7-19.4% to 18.3-20.5% were determined, depending on age. As far as visceral fat is concerned, standard values in boys ranging from 30.3-36.9 cm to 36.1-44.9 cm and in girls 30.3-36.9 cm to 36.1-44.9 cm were determined, depending on age. : Standards for assessing weight status are applicable to children aged 6-11 years, while it can be confirmed that BMI can be considered as an objective tool in assessing body mass and body composition in children.

Leaky gut syndrome (LGS) is caused by intestinal epithelial injury and increased intestinal permeability due to a variety of factors, including chronic stress, inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes, surgery, and chemotherapy, resulting in an increased influx of matter from the intestinal lumen causing constipation and bacteremia. To our knowledge, this is the first known case of LGS along with () bacteremia in a neurodegenerative disease patient. The patient was an 81-year-old male with a history of Alzheimer's disease, cerebral infarction, and diverticulitis in a psychiatric hospital, fed via a nasogastric tube.

Purpose: To identify key molecular components within the femoroacetabular impingement hip and compare the findings between male and female patients across varying age groups.
Methods: All patients undergoing hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) without hip dysplasia were included. During hip arthroscopy, performed at University of Wisconsin Health, loose articular cartilage, excess synovium, damaged labral tissue, and minimal adipose tissue were debrided only as needed for visualization and tissue repair purposes and collected.

Background: Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and mobile health (mHealth) applications have revolutionized the healthcare landscape in the areas of remote patient monitoring (RPM) and digital therapeutics (DTx). These technological advancements offer a range of benefits, from improved patient engagement and real-time monitoring, to evidence-based personalized treatment plans, risk prediction, and enhanced clinical outcomes.
Objective: The systematic literature review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the status of SaMD and mHealth apps, highlight the promising results, and discuss what is the potential of these technologies for improving health outcomes.

Introduction: Clinical trials have shown efficacy of semaglutide for weight loss, but further study is needed in less controlled environments including impacts on body composition.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included individuals who participated in a weight management programme at a commercial wellness studio receiving once-weekly compounded semaglutide/cyanocobalamin injections from June 2023 to January 2024. Once-weekly semaglutide/cyanocobalamin injected subcutaneously starting at 0.

Purpose: Cartilage repair necessitates adjunct therapies such as cell-based approaches, which commonly use MSCs and chondrocytes but is limited by the formation of fibro-hyaline cartilage. Articular cartilage-derived chondroprogenitors(CPs) offer promise in overcoming this, as they exhibit higher chondrogenic and lower hypertrophic phenotypes. The study aimed to compare the efficacy of various cell types derived from adult and foetal cartilage suspended in platelet-rich plasma(PRP) in repairing chondral defects in an Ex-vivo Osteochondral Unit(OCU) model.
