A procedure converting tribromocyclopropane to densely functionalized β-selenocyclopropylboronic ester using the 1,2-metallate rearrangement of a boron ate-complex has been developed. Treatment of an in situ-generated cyclopropenylboronic ester ate-complex with phenylselenenyl chloride triggered stereospecific rearrangement to produce functionalized cyclopropanes. DFT calculations for 1,2-metallate rearrangement suggested that the reaction proceeds through a seleniranium intermediate.

The establishment of protective immune responses relies on the ability of terminally differentiated B cells to secrete a broad variety of antigen-specific antibodies with different effector functions. RIF1 is a multifunctional protein that promotes antibody isotype diversification via its DNA end protection activity during class switch recombination. In this study, we showed that RIF1 ablation resulted in increased plasmablast formation ex vivo and enhanced terminal differentiation into plasma cells upon immunization.

Fragmented care systems, characterized by horizontal and vertical boundaries, hinder interprofessional collaboration for individuals with complex care needs. This study explores how frontline professionals navigate these boundaries to foster collaboration within a national program promoting integrated care for individuals with 'misunderstood behaviour' in the Netherlands.
