sp. A11 and sp. A23 were isolated and identified. Coculturing these two strains with Cd(II) led to the production of biofilm, HS, and succinic acid (SA), and Cd(II) was adsorbed by cells and formed CdS precipitates. After centrifugation, 97% Cd(II) was removed from the coculture. Proteomic and metabolomic analyses of the cocultured bacteria revealed that HS and SA production pathways, metal transportation, and TCA cycle were active under Cd(II) stress. In vitro addition of SA enhanced the production of HS and biofilm formation and Cd(II) adsorption. Two-season greenhouse pot experiments with L. were performed with and without the coculture bacteria. Compared with the control, the average Cd amounts of the two-season pot experiments of the aboveground plants were decreased by 71.3%, 62.8%, and 38.6%, and the nonbioavailable and immobilized Cd in the soils were increased by 211.8%, 213.4%, and 116.7%, for low-, medium-, and high- Cd-spiked soils, respectively. The two strains survived well in soil during plant growth using plate counting, quantitative real-time PCR, and metagenomics analysis. Our results indicate that the combination of and strains with the production of HS and biofilm are important effectors for the highly efficient immobilization of Cd.

Background: Legumes, in the initial event of symbiosis, secrete flavonoids into the rhizosphere to attract rhizobia. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between crop root exudates and soybean nodule development under intercropping patterns.
Method: A two years field experiments was carried out and combined with pot experiments to quantify the effects of planting mode, i.

Our research presents selective direct selenylation at the C-4 pyrazole ring using KSO as an oxidant under simple and mild conditions. This elegant synthesis involves the one-pot method under acidic conditions, thus minimizing reaction steps and waste generation. This innovative method allowed us to create a library of 4-selanylpyrazoles in good to excellent yields.

Growth and yield reduction of crops due to salt stress have become a serious issue worldwide. is very well known as a plant growth-promoting fungi under abiotic stress conditions. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the effect of on the growth, yield, nutrient uptake, and antioxidant activity of three Indian mustard genotypes under saline condition (EC 9.

Transforming plastics into single-atom catalysts is a promising strategy for upcycling waste plastics into value-added functional materials. Herein, a graphene-based single-atom catalyst with atomically dispersed FeNCl sites (Fe─N/Cl─C) is produced from high-density polyethylene wastes via one-pot catalytic pyrolysis. The Fe─N/Cl─C catalyst exhibited much higher turnover frequency and surface area normalized activity (K) compared with the Fe─N─C catalyst without axial Cl modulation.
