Ectopic parathyroid glands result from abnormal migration during development. If not detected promptly, they can lead to persistent or recurrent primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT). Inferior parathyroid glands are typically located in the anterior mediastinum, while superior parathyroid glands are often near the tracheoesophageal groove, both of which contribute to pHPT.

Background: Anatomical liver resection has been altered by a deeper understanding of the internal structure of the liver, highlighting the importance of the intersegmental plane, a region lacking Glissonean branches. These insights have enabled a novel surgical technique focused on the precise detachment of the intersegmental plane, supported by indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescent imaging and robotic platforms, enhancing the precision and safety of liver resection.
Methods: This study involved four patients who underwent robotic left hepatectomy using the Da Vinci Xi system.

Background: Prominent ears are a prevalent aesthetic concern, with numerous surgical techniques utilized in otoplasty procedures, without a widely approved gold standard. Traditional methods often leave residual deformities, reducing patient satisfaction.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective case series analysis involving 38 patients (30 Female, 8 Male) who underwent otoplasty to correct prominent ears for aesthetic purposes from January 2019 to December 2022.

Surgery for choledochal cysts (CDC) in children younger than 6 months is relatively rare. We report our experience and compare the results between Da Vinci robot-assisted hepaticojejunostomy (RAHJ) and laparoscopic-assisted hepaticojejunostomy (LAHJ) in children younger than 6 months to treat CDC. A retrospective study was conducted on all children under 6 months of age who underwent RAHJ or LAHJ at the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, from July 2018 to November 2023.

The process of angiogenesis plays a pivotal role in skin regeneration, ensuring the provision of nutrients and oxygen to the nascent tissue, thanks to the formation of novel microvascular networks supporting functional tissue regeneration. Unfortunately, most of the current therapeutic approaches for skin regeneration lack vascularization, required to promote effective angiogenesis. Thus, tridimensional models, complemented with specific biochemical signals, can be a valuable tool to unravel the neovascularization mechanisms and develop novel clinical strategies.
