Background: Research on the attitudes and support received by cancer survivors with preexisting severe mental health conditions (SMHC) from their families and oncology professionals is lacking.
Aims: To explore how individuals with SMHC perceive and experience family and oncology team attitudes and care.
Methods: Participants were 25 cancer survivors, 6 men and 18 women, aged 26-86 with preexisting SMHC.
Background And Aim: Alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD) and metabolic associated steatohepatitis (MASH) are leading indications for liver transplant (LT). Data are limited on their trends and association with candidate characteristics.

Minoritized groups experience interpersonal, structural, and systemic marginalization that is also perpetuated within academic institutions. This marginalization produces barriers that exclude racial/ethnic minoritized groups within academic medicine from career opportunities and advancement. Racial/ethnic minoritized faculty are often expected to take on additional labor to serve the diversity needs of the program and/or institution that are often unrecognized or undervalued in the tenure or promotion process or detract from additional responsibilities.

Artificial intelligence (AI) holds great promise for analyzing complex data to advance patient care and disease research. For example, AI interpretation of retinal imaging may enable the development of noninvasive retinal biomarkers of systemic disease. One potential limitation, however, is government regulation regarding retinal imaging as biometric data, which has been recently under debate in the United States.
