Histiocytic sarcoma (HS) is a common tumour in flat coat retrievers (FCRs) often affecting periarticular tissues and joints. Palliative-intent radiotherapy, seeks to achieve local tumour control, pain relief and improve limb function. However, the effect of palliative-intent radiotherapy on analgesic levels of dogs with localised HS has not been studied.

Tumoral calcinosis, also referred to as Teutschländer disease is a rare familial disorder characterized by painless, periarticular lumps or masses. Large amorphous calcific concentrations that surround the joints are the defining feature. These lesions have fibrous septa that divide them into lobules and may often show fluid/calcium levels (milk of calcium/suspended hydroxyapatite crystals).

A 4-year-old intact female domestic short-haired cat was referred for recommendations about adjuvant medical treatment 1 month after left forelimb amputation due to periarticular histiocytic sarcoma (HS). At presentation, physical abnormalities were limited to enlarged ipsilateral superficial cervical and axillary lymph nodes. Routine blood analysis, abdominal ultrasound, and thoracic radiology were unremarkable.

Background: Rosai-Dorfman-Destombes (RDD) disease, is a rare proliferative and inflammatory disorder of non-Langerhans cell histiocytes.
Case Presentation: We report a 35-year-old woman, who originally presented with recurrent episodes of lower extremity joint/bone pain and chronic nasal stuffiness and congestion. Her worsening nasal congestion was due to an obstructing nasal cavity lesion which was subsequently biopsied.
