Background: Bilirubin has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties, with an inverse relationship between its levels and cancer risk and prognosis. However, the prognostic value of serum bilirubin in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains uncertain.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed pretreatment serum total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), and indirect bilirubin (IBIL) in 284 AML patients and 316 healthy controls.
Unlabelled: ICANS is a common form of neurological immunotoxicity from CAR T-cell therapy (CAR-T). While high tumor burden, product type and cell dose are established risk factors, there are many unknowns. Our objective was to characterize novel neurological and non-neurological risk factors for the development of ICANS in subjects who received CAR-T.

Aims: To assess: (1) the incidence of pneumonia in CLL patients treated with venetoclax-based regimens in a real-world setting, (2) the risk factors for event-free survival (EFS), and (3) overall survival (OS).
Methods: This multicenter study included 322 patients from eight centers.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common acute leukemia and is predominantly affecting older patients. It is a heterogenous disease, showing a broad spectrum of genomic alterations and mutations that influence the clinical outcome and treatment options. The expression of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is often dysregulated in AML and its constitutive activation is associated with poor outcome.

Purpose: Multiple inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers have been established as independent prognostic factors across various solid tumors, but their role in outcomes prediction for glioma is still under investigation. Aim of the present systematic review is to report the available evidence regarding the impact of nutritional assessment and intervention for glioma prognosis and patients' quality of life (QoL).
Materials And Methods: Our systematic review conformed to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines.
