We investigated the evolution and transformation of scientific knowledge in the early modern period, analyzing more than 350 different editions of textbooks used for teaching astronomy in European universities from the late fifteenth century to mid-seventeenth century. These historical sources constitute the Sphaera Corpus. By examining different semantic relations among individual parts of each edition on record, we built a multiplex network consisting of six layers, as well as the aggregated network built from the superposition of all the layers. The network analysis reveals the emergence of five different communities. The contribution of each layer in shaping the communities and the properties of each community are studied. The most influential books in the corpus are found by calculating the average age of all the out-going and in-coming links for each book. A small group of editions is identified as a transmitter of knowledge as they bridge past knowledge to the future through a long temporal interval. Our analysis, moreover, identifies the most impactful editions. These books introduce new knowledge that is then adopted by almost all the books published afterwards until the end of the whole period of study. The historical research on the content of the identified books, as an empirical test, finally corroborates the results of all our analyses.

Background: The St-genome-sharing taxa are highly complex group of the species with the St nuclear genome and monophyletic origin in maternal lineages within the Triticeae, which contains more than half of polyploid species that distributed in a wide range of ecological habitats. While high level of genetic heterogeneity in plastome DNA due to a reticulate evolutionary event has been considered to link with the richness of the St-genome-sharing taxa, the relationship between the dynamics of diversification and molecular evolution is lack of understanding.
Results: Here, integrating 106 previously and 12 newly sequenced plastomes representing almost all previously recognized genomic types and genus of the Triticeae, this study applies phylogenetic reconstruction methods in combination with lineage diversification analyses, estimate of sequence evolution, and gene expression to investigate the dynamics of diversification in the tribe.

Purpose: This purpose of this article was to use the method of conceptual history to analyze the evolution of the concept of "validity" in nursing diagnoses and to identify key transformations, theoretical influences, and implications for contemporary clinical judgment and decision-making.
Methods: Five stages derivate from the approach proposed by Reinhart Koselleck, including: identify the concept and its relevance, historical contextualization, contextual use, semantic changes over time, and synthesis and interpretation.
Findings: The concept of "validity" in nursing diagnoses is essential for accurate diagnostics, interdisciplinary communication, and evidence-based decision-making, though its interpretation varies due to differing philosophical perspectives and methodological challenges.

The catalytic degradation of malodorous sulfur-containing volatile organic compounds (S-VOCs), especially methanethiol (CHSH), faces an enormous challenge in striking a balance between activity and stability. Herein, we develop the time-tandem and spatial-extended strategy for synthesizing t-MoO/meso-SiO nano-reactor-type catalysts and reveal the migration and transformation behaviors of both carbon and sulfur species at the mesoscopic scale to break the catalytic CHSH activity and stability trade-off. The dynamic evolution of active centers from initial oxygen sites and acid sites to sulfur vacancies in MoS during the reaction process as well as the formation of a new dimethyl disulfide (CHSSCH) reaction pathway are identified as the main reason for the catalysts' superior activity and sulfur resistance.

Porous supramolecular crystalline materials (PSCMs), usually including hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), π frameworks, and so on, can be defined as a type of porous supramolecular assemblies stabilized by hydrogen-bonding, π-π stacking and other non-covalent interactions. Given the unique features of mild synthetic conditions, well-defined and tailorable structures, easy healing and regeneration, PSCMs have captured widespread interest in molecular recognition, sensor, gas storage and separation, and so on. Moreover, they currently emerge as promising photocatalysts because it is readily to endow PSCMs with photo-function, and the hydrogen-bonding and π-π stacking can serve as electron transfer channels to boost photocatalytic activity.
