Phytopathogens cause undeniably serious damage in agriculture by harming fruit cultivations and lowering harvest yields, which as a consequence substantially reduces food production efficiency. Fungi of the , and genera are a main concern in berry production. However, no rapid detection method for detecting all of these pathogens simultaneously has been developed to date. Therefore, in this study, a multiplex real-time PCR assay for this purpose was established. Universal fungal primers for the D2 region of the large subunit ribosomal DNA and three multiplexable fluorogenic probes specific for the chosen fungi were designed and deployed. The triplex approach for the molecular detection of these fungi, which was developed in this study, allows for the rapid and effective detection of crucial berry pathogens, which contributes to a more rapid implementation of protective measures in plantations and a significant reduction in losses caused by fungal diseases.

Aleutian mink disease (mink plasmacytosis) is a severe immune complex-mediated condition caused by the Aleutian Mink Disease Virus (AMDV), the most significant pathogen affecting mink health in the industry. Several studies have shown that AMDV epidemics can result in millions to tens of millions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year. In this study, we developed a TaqMan probe-based real-time PCR technology (TaqMan-qPCR) for the specific, sensitive, and reproducible detection and quantification of AMDV in mink tissues by the VP2 gene, achieving detection limits as low as 1.

Introduction: Bone aging is linked to changes in the lineage differentiation of bone marrow stem cells (BMSCs), which show a heightened tendency to differentiate into adipocytes instead of osteoblasts. The therapeutic potential of irisin in addressing age-related diseases has garnered significant attention. More significantly, irisin has the capacity to enhance bone mass recovery and sustain overall bone health.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic is known to impact in-hospital processes for acute stroke patients, potentially resulting in delays due to quarantine and screening measures. The purpose of this study was to determine effects of changes in in-hospital quarantine policies on quality of care for acute stroke patients.

Methods: Hyperacute ischemic stroke patients who were admitted to Korea University Guro Hospital between January 2019 and February 2021 via the emergency department were included in this study.

Background: Human infection with is mainly manifested as non-gonococcal urethritis, where it can lead to cervicitis, premature rupture of membranes and abortion in women, as well as infertility in males, which becomes a major problem in clinical diagnosis and treatment. At present, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and culture are the two main methods for detecting UU. The real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method is cumbersome and cannot accomplish absolute quantification on nucleic acids, while the cultivation method has limitations such as low sensitivity and being time-consuming.
