Alcohol consumption induces hepatocyte damage through complex processes involving oxidative stress and disrupted metabolism. These factors alter proteomic and epigenetic marks, including alcohol-induced protein acetylation, which is a key post-translational modification (PTM) that regulates hepatic metabolism and is associated with the pathogenesis of alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). Recent evidence suggests lysine acetylation occurs when a proximal cysteine residue is within ∼15 Å of a lysine residue, referred to as a cysteine-lysine (Cys-Lys) pair.

Background: In radioembolization therapy for hepatic malignancies, the accurate estimation of lung shunt fraction (LSF) is crucial to minimize the risk of radiation-induced pneumonitis and fibrosis due to hepatopulmonary shunting of yttrium-90 (90Y)-microspheres. This study aimed to compare the accuracy and precision of LSF estimation using technetium-99m macroaggregated albumin single photon emission computed tomography ([99mTc]Tc-MAA SPECT) LSF, [99mTc]Tc-MAA planar LSF, and 90Y PET LSF in patients undergoing 90Y-radioembolization.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted involving 15 patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or liver metastases and planned to undergo transarterial radioembolization with 90Y SirSpheres after multidisplinary team discussion.

Background And Aims: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence is a major factor limiting long-time survival and the cause of most deaths in patients with HCC. However, molecular characterisation and potential therapeutic targets of recurrent HCC remain mostly unknown.
Approach And Results: We performed whole-exome sequencing (WES) in 63 matched primary and recurrent HCC tumours and combined the data with whole-genome sequencing (WGS) results in 43 paired samples from our previous study.

Liver metastasis is the primary factor contributing to unfavorable prognosis in colorectal cancer (CRC). Although N-glycosylation is implicated in metastasis, there is a notable paucity of comprehensive studies addressing the N-glycosylation proteomics associated with liver metastasis in CRC. In this study, N-glycosylated proteins and N-glycosylation sites of differential expression between primary lesions and paired liver metastatic lesions are identified.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous tumor, and the development of accurate predictive models for prognosis and drug sensitivity remains challenging.
Methods: We integrated laboratory data and public cohorts to conduct a multi-omics analysis of HCC, which included bulk RNA sequencing, proteomic analysis, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), spatial transcriptomics sequencing (ST-seq), and genome sequencing. We constructed a tumor purity (TP) and tumor microenvironment (TME) prognostic risk model.
