Upon abdominal ultrasonography, a woman in her 36 years old was diagnosed with a hypoechoic tumor with a diameter of 60mm surrounding the bile duct in the hepatic portal region. Abdominal computed tomography and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography revealed a tumor-like mass in the bile duct. Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) confirmed the diagnosis of schwannoma. Considering the lesion location, it appeared to rise from the hepatoduodenal ligament. She was unwilling to undergo tumor resection;however, a year after the diagnosis, no change was observed in the tumor. Here, we report a case of schwannoma in the hepatoduodenal ligament, wherein EUS-FNA was useful for establishing a diagnosis and determining a treatment strategy.

Purpose: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) arises from the epithelial cells of the bile ducts present inside the liver parenchyma and is associated with an overall poor prognosis due to advanced disease stage at the time of diagnosis. We used the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (CDC WONDER) database to determine ICC-related mortality patterns in the United States from 1999 till 2020.
Methods: Age-adjusted mortality rates (AAMR) and crude mortality rates (CMR) were extracted from the CDC WONDER database.

We present a pioneering case of a duplication of the common bile duct associated with agenesis of the dorsal pancreas in a 66-year-old man. After an episode of cholestatic jaundice, radiological investigations revealed complex vascular and biliary anomalies, redefining the therapeutic strategy. Instead of risky surgery, endoscopic biliopancreatic drainage resolved the symptoms.

Lemmel syndrome involves a periampullary duodenal diverticulum (PAD), a pouch-like outpouching near the ampulla of Vater, compressing the common bile duct. We describe a case of severe abdominal pain in a patient who had a large periampullary diverticulum, managed with surgical intervention after an initial failed endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). An elderly female patient in her early 90s arrived at the emergency department with severe cramping pain localized to the right upper quadrant of her abdomen, progressively intensifying over several weeks.
