Objective: This study aimed to analyze and compare the proportion of patients with different types of inflammatory arthritis and investigate the clinical characteristics, including symptoms and signs, medication choices, and disease activity, in the daily clinical practice of China.
Methods: Patients with inflammatory arthritis were recruited from 16 Grade-A tertiary hospitals between August 2021 and April 2022. The medical profiles, encompassing sociodemographic characteristics, clinical and laboratory date, were collected.

Ticagrelor, an effective antiplatelet for acute coronary syndrome (ACS), may elevate serum uric acid (SUA), potentially causing gout. This study aims to identify risk factors for ticagrelor-induced in-hospital gout in patients with ACS and create a predictive model for clinical use.A total of 1164 patients with ACS treated with ticagrelor (n = 640) or clopidogrel (n = 524) were retrospectively analyzed.

In the present study, we uncovered and validated potential biomarkers related to gout, characterized by the accumulation of sodium urate crystals in different joint and non-joint structures. The data set GSE160170 was obtained from the GEO database. We conducted differential gene expression analysis, GO enrichment assessment, and KEGG pathway analysis to understand the underlying processes.

Astringency in foods can significantly affect consumer acceptability. While sugar is known to reduce this sensation, the influence of cross-modal interactions between aroma and astringency remains underexplored. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of sugar and aroma compounds in modulating the perceived astringency of a tannin solution.

Background: Gout is one of the oldest known diseases and the most common form of inflammatory arthritis. The established risk factors for gout include hyperuricemia, chronic renal disease, genetic, alcohol consumption, dietary factors, diuretic use, hypertension, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. Patients with gout have an increased risk of all-cause mortality, particularly from cardiovascular disease, cancer, and infectious diseases.
