Premise: A CO control system is important for investigating how elevated CO affects plant growth. Our automatic CO monitoring and control system offers an inexpensive and flexible way to make CO-enriched environments.
Method And Results: Using microcontrollers paired with non-dispersive infrared CO sensors, relays, and valves, we developed a low-cost system for monitoring and controlling CO levels in growth chambers.
Conclusions: Compared with existing commercially available CO control systems, Arduino-based microcontrollers offer affordable access to the data logging of CO levels in growth chambers, thereby reducing budget limitations for creating growth conditions with highly controlled CO concentrations.

Background: Excessive tachycardia is associated with impaired hemodynamics and worse outcome in critically ill patients. Previous studies suggested beneficial effect of β-blockers administration in ICU patients, including those with septic shock. However, comparisons in ICU settings are lacking.

Online therapies have the potential to improve access to psychological services for individuals in need while alleviating the burden on healthcare systems. However, child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychotherapists (CAPPs) rarely integrate these services into their daily practice. This exploratory study investigates CAPPs' acceptance of online therapy, with a focus on treating children and adolescents with digital media use disorders (DMUD).

Uncontrollable cancer cell growth is characterized by the maintenance of cellular homeostasis through the continuous accumulation of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles. This review delineates the roles of two complementary and synergistic degradation systems, the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and the autophagy-lysosome system, in the degradation of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles for intracellular recycling. We emphasize the interconnected decision-making processes of degradation systems in maintaining cellular homeostasis, such as the biophysical state of substrates, receptor oligomerization potentials (e.

Background: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing central nervous system disease most commonly associated with aquaporin-4 antibodies (AQP4-Ab) and Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies. These demyelinating disorders influence cortical excitability, which has been studied using advanced imaging techniques and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in our study.
Methods: This is a prospective study of 30 subjects.

Inflammatory processes have been implicated in the pathophysiology of depression. In human studies, inflammation has been shown to act as a critical disease modifier, promoting susceptibility to depression and modulating specific endophenotypes of depression. However, there is scant documentation of how inflammatory processes are associated with neural activity in patients with depression.
