Broad-spectrum antibodies can effectively recognize substances with similar structures and have broad application prospects in field rapid detection. In this study, broad-spectrum antibodies (Abs) against organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) were used as sensitive recognition elements, which could effectively recognize most OPs. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have good biocompatibility. It combined with Abs to form a gold-labeled probe (AuNPs-Abs), which enhances the effective binding of antibodies to nanomaterials. Prussian blue (PB) was added to electrodeposition solution to enhance the conductivity, resulting in superior electrochemical performance. The AuNP-Abs-PB composite film was prepared by electrodeposition on the electrode surface to improve the anti-interference ability and stability of the immunosensor. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the immunosensor had a wide detection range (IC-IC: 1.82 × 10-3.29 × 10 ng/mL) and high sensitivity. Most importantly, it was simple to be prepared and could be used to detect multiple OPs.

Nanocatalytic medicine offers a novel solution to address the issues of low efficacy, potential side effects, and the development of drug resistance associated with traditional therapies. Therefore, developing highly efficient and durable nanozymes is of great significance for treating diseases related to oxidative stress. In recent years, prussian blue nanoparticles (PBNPs) have been demonstrated to possess multiple enzyme-like catalytic activities and are thus referred to as prussian blue nanozymes (PBNZs).

Epinephrine (Ep) is an important neurotransmitter, which plays an important role in the nervous system and glycogen metabolism of living organisms. Hence, a novel NCQDs/FeCoFe-PBA composite with FeCoFe-Prussian blue analogues (PBA) as the core and nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) as the shell was constructed by a one-pot hydrothermal method, and it was used for the efficient detection of Ep. As a good electroactive material, NCQDs in the composite not only improved the weak conductivity of FeCoFe-PBA, but also limited the self-aggregation of FeCoFe-PBA, and formed a uniform shell on FeCoFe-PBA.

Prussian blue analogs (PBAs), as a classical kind of microporous materials, have attracted substantial interests considering their well-defined framework structures, unique physicochemical properties and low cost. However, PBAs typically adopt cubic structure that features small pore size and low specific surface area, which greatly limits their practical applications in various fields ranging from gas adsorption/separation to energy conversion/storage and biomedical treatments. Here we report the facile and general synthesis of unconventional hexagonal open PBA structures.

Oxygen vacancy-rich defective tungsten oxide (WO) modified by Prussian blue for efficient photocatalytic carbon dioxide conversion and tetracycline degradation.

The coupling of carbon dioxide (CO) with epoxides to produce cyclic carbonates is a desirable decarbonization approach, but its commercial applicability is still restricted by the costly catalysts required, as well as the need for high temperature and high pressure. Herein, oxygen vacancy-rich defective tungsten oxide (WO) rich in Lewis acid sites was modified by Prussian blue (PB), and the obtained composite reaches up to 94 % styrene carbonate yield (171 mmol gh) at ambient temperature and pressure, exhibiting outstanding advantages in the photocatalytic CO cycloaddition reaction compared with currently reported photocatalysts. It is found that the introduction of PB with photothermal properties significantly enhances the capability of WO to absorb and activate CO and epoxide, along with its light utilization ability.

Inner Helmholtz layer control through co-solvent strategies for high-performance copper hexacyanoferrate//zinc battery.

J Colloid Interface Sci

Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta, 9211-116 Street NW., Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1H9, Canada. Electronic address:

Copper hexacyanoferrate (CuHCF) demonstrates high working voltage, convenient synthesis methods, and economic benefits. However, capacity decay of CuHCF//Zn full cells is usually observed in aqueous electrolytes due to the dissolution of Cu and Fe, as indicated by the irreversible insertion of Zn ions and the consequent formation of ZnCuHCF. To address these challenges, a cathode-oriented electrolyte engineering design employing a methyl acetate (MA) co-solvent with zinc triflate (Zn(OTf)) salt electrolyte is implemented.
