Background And Objectives: It has been found that the microorganism behind the failure of root-filled teeth is , which shows resistance to most of the intra-canal medicaments. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of three intra-canal medications-calcium hydroxide with saline, combinations of calcium hydroxide with 2% chlorhexidine (CHX), and calcium hydroxide with 5% povidone-iodine-against in dentinal tubules of human incisors.
Materials And Methods: Forty permanent maxillary central incisors were made into standardized segments and infected with . They were treated with a paste made of calcium hydroxide and 2% CHX, calcium hydroxide and 5% povidone-iodine, and calcium hydroxide and saline for 1 week. Dentinal shavings collected from the canal were suspended in thioglycollate broth solution and spread on brain heart infusion agar. Colony-forming units (CFUs) were enumerated and the CFU per milligram of dentin was calculated. The pH of the medicaments used was measured with the help of pH meter.
Results: The results showed that the paste made from calcium hydroxide and 2% CHX was significantly more effective than that made from calcium hydroxide and povidone-iodine, and calcium hydroxide and saline. The addition of CHX or povidone-iodine did not affect the alkalinity of calcium hydroxide.
Conclusion: This study concludes that Ca(OH) + 2% CHX are effective against . Combinations of calcium hydroxide and 5% povidone-iodine showed better antibacterial effect than calcium hydroxide and saline. Ca(OH) + saline was ineffective against .

Objectives: Comparative evaluation of indirect pulp therapy (IPT) with silver diamine fluoride (SDF), Type VII glass ionomer cement (GIC), and calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) in young permanent molars.
Materials And Methods: This was randomized controlled trial, in which 45 children with 60 young permanent first molars were allocated as; Group A: IPT with SDF, Group B: Type VII GIC, and Group C: Ca(OH)2. Clinical and radiographic evaluation and comparison was done at baseline, 3, 6, 12 months.

This study comprises two distinct but interrelated parts. The first part involves optimizing the conditions for the conversion of phosphogypsum to a Ca(OH) and NaSO solution. The second part focuses on enhancing the mechanical properties of gypsum through the use of a sodium sulphate additive derived from the conversion of phosphogypsum.

The formation of a stable alkyl At-C bond occurs during the shipment of At on a 3-octanone-impregnated column and the reactivity of At stripped from columns has been studied. The At could not be recovered from the 3-octanone organic phase using nitric acid or sodium hydroxide, even up to 10 and 15.7 M, respectively.

Background: Intracanal medicament (ICM) eliminates remaining bacteria and their toxins that were not removed by chemomechanical preparation during endodontic treatment.
Aim: The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the removal of ozonated oil-based, silicone oil-based, and distilled water-based ICM with two calcium chelators, i.e.

Introduction: Vital pulp therapy (VPT) aims to preserve dental pulp after injury and has gained significant popularity due to advancements in materials and understanding of pulp biology. While bibliometric analyses are common in various fields, none have been conducted specifically for the 100 most-cited articles on VPT.
Materials And Methods: This bibliometric study analyzed the 100 most-cited VPT papers using data from Web of Science (WoS-CC), Scopus, and Google Scholar.
