Aim: The aim of this study was to assess different gingival displacement systems such as aluminum chloride retraction cords, expasyl, and tetrahydrozoline-soaked retraction cord to record intracrevicular margins of tooth preparations.

Materials And Methods: This study included 60 patients. Patients were divided into four groups of 15 each. In group I, aluminum chloride retraction cords, in group II expasyl, in group III tetrahydrozoline-soaked retraction cord, and in group IV no retraction cord were used.

Results: The mean gingival displacement (μm) in group I was 825.6, in group II was 482.1, in group III was 742.3, and in group IV was 214.8. Significant difference was seen in between groups by one-way analysis of variance as < 0.05. Post hoc Tukey analysis showed significant difference during multiple comparison between groups.

Conclusion: Authors found that maximum gingival retraction was achieved with aluminum chloride retraction cords followed by tetrahydrozoline and expasyl.

Silicon is utilized as a functional material in various fields such as semiconductors, bio-medicine, and solar energy. To prepare Si materials, researchers have proposed methods including carbothermal reduction, hydrothermal reduction, and magnesiothermal reduction, but these strategies often involve high temperatures or unwanted by-products. Herein, we present a low-temperature ionic liquid reduction system to prepare Si nanospheres based on 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride-aluminum chloride ([Bmim]Cl-AlCl).

Molten salts are promising candidates in numerous clean energy applications, where knowledge of thermophysical properties and vapor pressure across their operating temperature ranges is critical for safe operations. Due to challenges in evaluating these properties using experimental methods, fast and scalable molecular simulations are essential to complement the experimental data. In this study, we developed machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIP) to study the AlCl molten salt across varied thermodynamic conditions ( = 473-613 K and = 2.

Inflammation is a natural body's defense mechanism against harmful stimuli such as pathogens, chemicals, or irradiation. But when the inflammatory response becomes permanent, it can lead to serious health problems. In the present study, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potentials of the methanolic extract (EMME), as well as its isolated fractions (FA-FJ) and compounds (-), were evaluated by using in vitro and cellular models.
