Purpose: Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) is beneficial for uncontrollable torso bleeding; however, prolonged REBOA causes ischemia-reperfusion injury. The purpose of this study is to examine the hypothesis that continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) with a cytokine-adsorbing hemofilter would improve mortality due to hemorrhagic shock with REBOA-reperfusion injury by controlling metabolic acidosis, hyperkalemia, and hypercytokinemia.
Methods: Hemorrhagic shock with 40% blood loss was induced by phlebotomy in eight female swine.

Current online hemodiafiltration devices can be used to determine the absolute blood volume in clinical practice using the dialysate bolus method. Most of publications on this method have focused on preventing intradialytic complications. The influence of absolute blood volume on long-term prognosis has not been reported yet.

Purpose: To evaluate the long-term efficacy and cost-efficiency of blood purification (BP) in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) through single-center data.
Patients And Methods: A total of 155 SAP patients were collected and followed up for 6 months. The participants were divided into control (49 cases) and BP group (106 cases) according to whether they received BP treatment or not.

The choice of dialysate buffer in hemodialysis is crucial, with acetate being widely used despite complications. Citrate has emerged as an alternative because of its favorable effects, yet concerns persist about its impact on calcium and magnesium levels. This study investigates the influence of citrate dialysates (CDs) with and without additional magnesium supplementation on CKD-MBD biomarkers and assesses their ability to chelate divalent metals compared to acetate dialysates (ADs).
