Erythrasma is a bacterial infection of the skin typically caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum. This pathogen infects the stratum corneum in warm and wet areas of the skin. Most commonly, the axillary, inguinal, and interdigital regions are affected. A 60-year-old man presented for the examination of a pedunculated lesion on his right proximal thigh. Upon examination of the lesion, adjacent areas of central hypopigmentation and peripheral hyperpigmented scaling were also noted bilaterally in the groin region. Differential diagnoses of candidiasis, dermatophyte infection, erythrasma, pityriasis versicolor, and terra firma-forme dermatosis were considered. Wood lamp examination revealed bright coral-pink fluorescence. Correlation of the clinical examination and the Wood lamp finding established the diagnosis of erythrasma. Twice daily topical 2% mupirocin ointment therapy led to the resolution of our patient's erythrasma. In this case report, the diagnosis, differential diagnoses, and treatment of erythrasma are reviewed.

Skin biopsy is one of the most frequently performed diagnostic measures in dermatological practice. Depending on the diagnostic question, the selection of the type of biopsy procedure and the biopsy location can have a considerable influence on histological assessment. Depending on the disease, different aspects must be taken into account for a precise diagnosis.

Background Objectives: Co-infection of dengue virus and acute hepatitis A virus in paediatric population is a major health concern in endemic countries. This cross sectional retrospective study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of hepatitis A virus among the clinically dengue suspected paediatric cases presented at our tertiary care centre during the two-year period (2022-2023).
Methods: A total of 747 dengue suspected paediatric clinical specimens were included in this study.

Background Studies have explored the application of multimodal large language models (LLMs) in radiologic differential diagnosis. Yet, how different multimodal input combinations affect diagnostic performance is not well understood. Purpose To evaluate the impact of varying multimodal input elements on the accuracy of OpenAI's GPT-4 with vision (GPT-4V)-based brain MRI differential diagnosis.
