Comprehensive multimodal imaging is essential for the precise clinical diagnostics of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). Noninvasive optical coherence tomography (OCT) is of prime importance regarding the baseline examination, follow-up and monitoring during treatment. The OCT imaging in nAMD eyes enables a high-resolution assessment of the retinal micromorphology, which can be considerably disturbed in different layers.

Bacillary layer detachment (BALAD) refers to the distinctive splitting at the level of the photoreceptor inner segment myoid and accumulation of intraretinal fluid, as seen on optical coherence tomography (OCT). BALAD is an increasingly recognized OCT biomarker of numerous heterogeneous chorioretinal diseases, including posterior uveitis, age-related macular degeneration and macular neovascularization, neoplastic and paraneoplastic retinal disorders, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, blunt ocular trauma, and miscellaneous conditions. The recognition of BALAD is clinically relevant because, based on the specific etiology, BALAD may require simple observation, ocular or systemic medical treatment, or even surgical intervention, with subsequent different prognosis.

Purpose: To describe the clinical characteristics of macular holes (MH) with an intact bacillary layer.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed the characteristics and surgical results of 23 eyes with MH and an intact bacillary layer, with or without rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD).
Results: Among the 23 eyes, 11 had only MH, and 12 had concurrent fovea-off RRD.

Purpose: To describe the advanced multimodal imaging findings of patients with bilateral diffuse uveal melanocytic proliferation (BDUMP) and the changes in these findings over time.
Methods: Fundus photography, fundus autofluorescence (FAF), fundus fluorescein angiography (FA), spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT), B-scan ultrasonography (US), and ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) images of the patients diagnosed with BDUMP at a single institution between years 2006-2023 were evaluated.
Results: Sixteen eyes of 8 patients with BDUMP were included.
