Background: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disease, most prevalent in children. Ultrasound is a noninvasive, cheap, and widely available technique. However, systematic elucidation of sonographic features of LCH and treatment related follow-up are relatively few, resulting in overall underestimation of the clinical value of ultrasound in diagnosing and monitoring LCH.

Understanding the patterns of sonographic findings in specific population demographics can lead to better clinical decisions and improved patient management. This study will evaluate the prevalent abdominal ultrasound scan findings and explore their demographic patterns based on age and sex characteristics at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

Introduction Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is a syndrome involving the fetal central nervous system as the result of a perinatal hypoxic-ischemic injury. To date, transfontanellar ultrasound represents the first line exam in neonates with clinical suspicion of HIE as it allows to show features indicating acute hypoxic injury and exclude potential non-hypoxic determinants of HIE, however there is no report concerning the sonographic assessment of the brain during labor.

Objective: Aim: To study the ATFL length among asymptomatic population of young patients on both joints by using the method of ultrasound examination of the ankle joint and applying the inversion stress test.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: the length of the ATFL was measured among 60 boys and 60 girls during the research. Sonography was performed on both joints, in each of the two studied positions, three times per position in order to obtain the average ligament length.
