Background: Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has shown good clinical efficacy in treating chronic wounds, but its superiority over conventional treatment is still under debate. This meta-analysis systematically analyzed the clinical efficacy of CAP compared to control therapy.
Methods: Relevant literature was obtained online according to PRISMA guidelines.

Background: Enterococcus faecalis (), the main pathogenic bacterium of root canal infection, can penetrate deep into the dentin tubule, form a biofilm, and resist host defense mechanisms, thereby increasing treatment complexity. Therefore, the key to the treatment of root canal infections is to completely kill the bacteria and prevent secondary infection. This review assesses advancements in traditional and novel disinfection methods targeting biofilm.

Background: Invasive cervical cancer is recognized as the second most common malignancy in women after breast cancer.
Objectives: This study investigates, for the first time, the effect of gold nanoparticle-doped graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets on the human epithelial carcinoma (HeLa) cell line in the presence of heliox cold plasma.
Methods: Graphene oxide nanosheets were synthesized using the Hummer method and then doped with gold nanoparticles.

This study examined the regulatory effects of autonomic nervous system on aerobic endurance exercise performance in cold exposure, focusing on heart rate recovery (HRR) and heart rate variability (HRV) across genders. Thirty participants (17 males and 13 females) from a university track endurance program, classified as exercise grade II or above, underwent monitoring of HRV in time domain, frequency domain, nonlinear correlation indices and 1 min HRR. Measurements were taken before, during, and after aerobic endurance exercise in cold and normal environments, respectively.

Diazotrophic microorganisms alleviate nitrogen limitation at marine cold seeps using nitrogenase, encoded in part by the gene nifH. Here, we investigated nifH-containing organisms (NCOs) inside and outside six biogeochemically heterogeneous seeps using amplicon sequencing and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) of nifH genes and transcripts. We detected nifH genes affiliated with phylogenetically and metabolically diverse organisms spanning 18 bacterial and archaeal phyla (17 within seeps).
