: Eradication of becomes more challenging due to increasing antimicrobial resistance. Consequently, the performance of clarithromycin-containing triple therapies is now declining to unacceptable levels and should be abandoned unless a prior susceptibility test precludes clarithromycin resistance.: This review summarizes updated evidence concerning new and advancing pharmacotherapy options for eradication.: Due to the declining efficacy of legacy triple therapies, most guidelines recommend bismuth quadruple therapy as the best initial empiric treatment. Concomitant, sequential and hybrid therapies are remarkable bismuth-free quadruple options, provided that dual clarithromycin-metronidazole resistance is low. Levofloxacin-, rifabutin-, furazolidone- and sitafloxacin-containing regimens remain useful, particularly as salvage options. To eradicate in line with the rules of antibiotic stewardship, susceptibility-guided treatment appears as the ideal approach. However, the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of universal pre-treatment susceptibility testing warrants further evaluation. Molecular testing methods promise convenient characterization of antibiotic susceptibility. High-dose dual therapy (proton-pump-inhibitor plus amoxicillin) and vonoprazan, a more potent acid inhibitor that likely enhances the activity of amoxicillin, are promising alternatives that could decrease misuse of antibiotics. Addition of certain probiotics could somewhat increase the performance of eradication regimens, while improving tolerability.

Background: Due to advances in treatment, HIV is now a chronic condition with near-normal life expectancy. However, people with HIV continue to have a higher burden of mental and physical health conditions and are impacted by wider socioeconomic issues. Positive Voices is a nationally representative series of surveys of people with HIV in the United Kingdom.

Biological carriers have emerged as significant tools to deliver radionuclides in nuclear medicine, providing a meaningful perspective for tumor imaging and treatment. Various radionuclide-labeled biological carriers have been developed to meet the needs of biomedical applications. This review introduces the principles of radionuclide-mediated imaging and therapy and the selected criteria of them, as well as a comprehensive description of the characteristics and functions of representative biological carriers including bacteria, cells, viruses, and their biological derivatives, emphasizing the labeled strategies of biological carriers combined with radionuclides.

Rationale: Nasopharyngeal tuberculosis (TB), a rare form of tuberculosis outside the lungs, can affect any organ or tissue in the body. It is difficult to diagnose because of nonspecific symptoms, often leading to delayed confirmation after the initial patient visit. Clinical manifestations such as cervical lymphadenopathy and irregular mucosal surfaces can be challenging to distinguish from nasopharyngeal cancer or malignant lymphoma.

Background: C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is a rare disease affecting the complement alternative pathway, categorized into dense deposit disease and C3 glomerulonephritis. Dense deposit disease predominantly affects younger individuals, while C3 glomerulonephritis tends to manifest in older populations. The diseases are characterized by dysregulation of the complement alternative pathway, leading to the deposition of complement components in the glomeruli and subsequent renal dysfunction.

Background: Dementia leads to cognitive decline affecting memory, thinking, and behavior. Current pharmaceutical treatments are symptomatic, with limited efficacy and significant drawbacks. Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb761) is being explored as an adjuvant therapy for dementia because of its potential neuroprotective effects.
