BACKGROUND IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic fibro-inflammatory disease potentially affecting every part of the human body. Because of variability in clinical presentation, IgG4-RD can be challenging to diagnose. Untreated disease can lead to irreversible organ damage such as fibrosis.

Behçet's disease is a clinical diagnosis with variable presentations. Liver involvement is rare in the absence of vascular complications. We describe a patient diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and autoimmune hepatitis on azathioprine who developed extensive aphthous ulcers approximately 10 years later.

Background: Blood group incompatibility previously represented an obstacle to living related donor (LRD) options; desensitization modalities have expanded LRD options. ABO-incompatible kidney transplants have been successful in adults and pediatric liver transplants, but to date not yet in pediatric kidney transplants in South Africa.
Case Report: Patient X is a 5 year old male with end-stage kidney failure due to Posterior Urethral Valves, requiring peritoneal dialysis pre-transplant.

: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of 1-year treatment in children with IgAN and IgAVN using azathioprine, prednisone, and enalapril (AZA+PRED+E) combined with a control kidney biopsy. : This study consists of 68 children diagnosed via kidney biopsy with Oxford classification. The study group included 36 children (15 IgAN, 21 IgAVN) treated with AZA+PRED+E (according to the protocol with a control kidney biopsy); and the control group included 32 children (21 IgAN, 11 IgAVN) who were treated with enalapril alone during one year after kidney biopsy.
