Background: Timely emergency medical services (EMS) are particularly important among trauma patients, as inefficient EMS systems can result in potentially avoidable death before reaching a hospital. The Dhulikhel Hospital Dispatch Center coordinates and monitors a growing network of ambulances, including seven Type B ambulances staffed with a trained prehospital care provider and medical equipment. This study evaluates the prehospital care and outcomes of trauma patients transported by Type B ambulances to Dhulikhel Hospital's Emergency Department, as monitored by the Dispatch Center.

Introduction: Early recognition and treatment of stroke is paramount for good outcome. Transport distance may result in delayed arrival for revascularization therapy. We investigated how transport time and distance to the revascularization unit affected the probability of receiving intravenous thrombolysis in Denmark between 2015 and 2020, for patients calling the Emergency Medical Services within three hours of symptom onset.

Background: During the recent years, emergency services in several countries have integrated video streaming into medical emergency calls, and research on the topic has gained increased focus. Video streaming during medical emergency calls may change dispatcher's perspective of the call and can be a helpful tool for supervising bystanders' first aid. Little research exists, however, about the caller's perspective of video streaming during a medical emergency call.
